Half the reason we booked this was based on all the positive reviews about the location and the hosts. They were all true! Judith and Danny were amazing hosts! Very conversational and provided us with a lot of helpful information and recommendations on places to eat and places to avoid. We stayed in the Esmerelda room upstairs and were very comfortable with an AC unit that worked well and a TV with Amazon Firestick. Breakfast and coffee provided every morning and Judith was happy to ask what we liked (she's a great cook I might add). The entire home was very accommodating, hosts were a joy, and we're so glad we booked this. Judith also coordinated a private tour with a driver to see Uxmal and a Cenote that also included a stop at Choco-Story, plus lunch, snacks, and drinks. Gio, our driver (spoke English) was fantastic. Overall, would highly recommend this place for your stay in Merida!

One thing - there is a bar a couple of doors down and music can be heard later in the evening - we only noticed it Friday/Saturday. However, with the curtains drawn and the bathroom door closed, it wasn't crazy loud. Heard mostly inside bathroom. Unsure if it can be heard on the main level. Didn't bother us much or keep us awake but just in case.

Standard business rooms: you know what you get 24/7 reception and room service Relatively quiet street very close to the zocalo Lovely breakfast buffet with variation Free bikes available (Eur 300 deposit required) (Note Mexico City organizes "Muevete en Bici", open streets program, every Sunday, car traffic is banned along seven city streets)

Upfront payment/deposit required (a Mexican thing but the distrust left me with a negative feeling) Check your bill for taxes (in- or excluded on Booking) Room service is slow Staff could be a little more sympathetic and proactive Staff has limited knowledge of the local tourist scene

It's very good for an airport layover. Close to the airport, nice pool and grounds, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff were friendly and flexible. Generally a nice place to chill out and rest.

The restaurant wasn't great and there is literally NO other options in the local area, we went for a walk and it's a ghost town with nothing around. That's why I would say this place is no good for a few nights in cancun, but great for a night near the airport.

Restaurants closed at 5pm so getting dinner was difficult. They should atleast have a small kitchen for guests to cook basic stuff. Had to request for more water
