A peaceful, secluded and quiet yet very central home, with everything one could possibly need around the corner. The bay (that happens to be a home to five very gentle sea turtles) just a quick barefoot walk away. And most importantly - what a wonderful family! We felt home from the minute we arrived. Each person brought something unique and special to our stay. Nipun - one of the nicest and interesting men I’ve met. A heart of gold. Danuli made us the most beautiful card, and was always there to welcome us back from the beach. Cobi - the dog who stole our hearts. The mum who tickled our taste buds. The dad who saw to our every need. Best night. Best sleep. Best homestay. Thank you! We’ll be back very, very soon.

Perfect place! Calm location but close to the beach, restaurants, supermarket and bus stop. A spacious clean comfortable room. Very nice owner, that cooked very good breakfast. It is possible to have also dinner here.

The hotel was centrally located. It was right next to the Dutch Hospital. The room size was not too bad, clean & quiet. Staff from doorman to housekeeper were all lovely.

My lovely stay were affected by two issues. I will think long & hard before rebooking this hotel in future visits: 1. In my 2 weeks holiday in SR, I had the worst food at Masala Inn. The hotel sourced out this restaurant for their buffet breakfast as they are undergoing refurbishment. The food at Masala inn was heavily spiced & the selection was lacklustre. They have pancakes and French toast but don’t have syrup. Lastly, the coffee was undrinkable. 2. As soon as you step out of the lobby, you need to wear a body armour & ear defender as it’s a constant battle with the tuktuk drivers. They are like vultures or pests that do not go away. Some people will argue that they are just trying to make a living. BUT they don’t have to harass people after repeatedly saying no. After declining their service, they would still follow until you shout at them.
