Very spacious room, extremely comfortable beds. I haven't slept so well in a long while. The breakfast buffet is expensive (normal for Korean resorts in the high-end category, though) but very good. The outdoor spa was divine. I was positively surprised about the gym, which had almost all machines and equipment one would need as a serious gym-fanatic. For me this was the best hotel gym I have ever seen. Staff was very friendly, extremely helpful and attentive. Five star hotels in Korea have an outstanding service culture you will be hard pressed to find at the same level in Europe. Paradise Hotel definitely is no exception. The view from the balcony was lovely and the location right at the beach is unbeatable. Lastly, the hotel bar was great with a very interesting and delicious selection of cocktails I have never seen anywhere else. I was impressed.

I was unaccustomed to the air-pressured feet cleaning devices right next to the hotel at the access path to the beach. Great invention for beach-goers, but constant noise for guests wanting to sit on the balcony for an extended period. I guess that is not the hotel's fault, however. For people new to Korea it might be surprising that restaurants, including Hotel restaurants, close relatively early (unless it is Friday/Saturday evening), but this is very common and I would not hold that against the hotel per se.

I was actually surprised with the size of the room which had a living room/seating area and bedroom (separated by a sliding door). Normally, a lot of hotels in Seoul have very small rooms where you hardly know where to put your luggage. The room was spacious with big windows and very comfortable in its design. The staff was friendly and quick; check-in and check-out were a breeze. Bonus points for the scales in the bathroom - so you can weigh your luggage before heading to the airport! The hotel is right next to a big area for restaurants and bars. It was very easy to find a place to eat and do some people-watching. I will definitely book it again for my next stay.

It always took a bit to reach public transport, like walking 8 to 10 minutes to the next bus or subway/metro stop. Not a major deal-breaker, but it was sometimes cumbersome to make it through the (at time heavy) traffic to catch your bus in time.

  • Seoul Station Joey N Ray house

It is located back side of Seoul station. It is very convenient to go Myoung-Dong, NamDaeMoon, Namsan Mountain, and many other places. There is very big Lotte grocery and shopping mall as part of Seoul station, so no need to go else where for shopping. House itself is very clean and equipped very well as kitchen, air conditioning in each room and laundry. The host is very responsive and very nice person to talk to. I would strongly recommend this place for any cases of travel in Seoul.

It perfectly located and very well equipped. Apart from our room and bathroom there is a mini kitchen with a mini stove, all the kitchen utensils, kettle, fridge and even a washing machine. There is also a hairdryer provided. The room itself, just like the whole guesthouse is decent in terms of cosiness. Good only if you are busy and use it as a sleepover. The price is fair, exactly what can be paid for a place like this-no more than 50€ per night.

Very unhelpful staff- even seeing you with your hands full they would insist on you entering passcode when for them it is just pressing a button to open the door. Denied access to toilet at early arrival after a 14 h long trip, lots of needless stuff in the common area; disgusting row of smelly trashcans at the very entrance; very steep staircase; problematic with very heavy luggage. In terms of hygiene as a boarding facility it must have a toilet for the common use and it does not.

The location was great! The hotel itself is pretty central (close to metro and bus stops, as well as many stores and restaurants) and there is a convenience store on the ground floor. The staff is very nice and helpful. Cold water is provided in the fridge in the summer, as well as a variety of chargers that can be used for many appliances. There is a steam closet in the room which was quite unexpected and a really nice touch!!!

Can't think of much because it's a good value for money place. I guess the bathroom configuration is a little weird. The sink is outside of the bathroom (next to the bed) and the toilet and shower are not separated. But that wasn't an issue for me.

It was a very pleasant stay. Near to the metro and bus station, the host is quite nice to us. He gave us ice cream on the first day we arrived. The shower is quite nice aswell and has the most comfortable sleep in Seoul. The location is quite near to Hongik University, so it is quite near to reach the bus tour that we book.

There is a mosquito at night. But other than that it was fine, just make sure to close the bedroom door at night or else there will be mosquito
