Positive section of review
The hotel has a nice pool with a great view of the “jungle” and you can see the waterfall. From the restaurant and balcony you can enjoy the same view. The staff and owner were very friendly and checked on me and made sure if I needed something. I was upgraded to a larger room (with a shower with good water pressure), which was nice, because I was the only guest. You can use the kitchen and fridge and there is a water tank. The hotel can arrange activities like rafting or hiking if you like.

Because of the beautiful view, the hotel is situated higher up so you need to walk a bit uphill and some steps, which was ok for me, but good to know. While I was there, the restaurant wasn’t open, so I had my meals in the next lodge, which was very close and nice to see, since they are located next to the river. There are other options to have your meals, but are further away. Since the restaurant was closed it would have been nice to be able to have free coffee or tea to make yourself.

Overall a nice place to stay. Little difficult to find. The pillows were extremely high and hard. The faucet of the bathroom washbasin functioned only very partly and the rain shower was largely clogged up making it spray the water all over. Impossible for my wife to shower without getting her hair very wet. (Even when using the towel to Keep it dry.

It’s located in a quiet area. The breakfast is nice and the area where you can have the breakfast has a nice view. Staff was friendly. The room was basic, but clean, just like the shared showers and toilets. A lot of information about the area and what to do.

The shared showers and toilets are outside and I missed a mirror in the room. It can be noisy because of people leaving in the middle of the night and gather in the common area where all the rooms are connected to.

The property is clean and it’s located (relatively) close to the bus terminal. The shopping mall is nearby. People there are nice and I had a nice breakfast. Blanca drove me to the busstation which was nice.
Negative section of review
I didn’t realize the guesthouse has no hot water, only cold. That could be described more clear on Booking. The window of my room couldn’t be locked, which I realized afterwards. Nobody from outside / street would be able to enter though, since the guesthouse is gated.
West End, Honduras

Near the town center of the West End. Air conditioning at night. Clean dorm room. I respect that the owner seems to be building it as his money allows. Owner held a free dinner for guests.

No lockers. Kitchen's cleanliness. Bedroom's bathroom sink leaks into the bathroom. Lack of basics like sheets in some cases. Located down a very dark street and without signage to identify the hostel. Overrated on Booking so didn't meet expectations.

The guest house is well located near the Central Park and Mercado Gualimito. The staff was very nice and friendly and try to think of solutions.
Negative section of review
Some rooms of the hotel only have cold shower. If you find that important make sure you ask before if they have a room with hot water available. The room and bathroom smelled a bit humid, but when you turn on the A/C the smell disappeared.

We had 3 people staying but only 1 small bottle of water. I found it odd that you have to book breakfast time ahead.
