Breakfast was great with a new selection daily. The midday banana bread and coffee was a nice touch, along with refreshing water all day. Rooftop has amazing views of the city and lots of seating areas throughout the property with really beautiful plants and greenery. Location is ideal, right in the middle of everything.

The rooms do not have AC and there are no ceiling fans, it was really hot and there were many misquitoes. Walls are very thin - I could hear everything happening in the room next door and late night from the neighboring bars.

Best hostel I ever stayed at! Far more than you would expect from a hostel. Very clean, lovely furnished and has a chilled vibe. You will meet the best people here and will definitely enjoy Antigua so much. Great stuff and hospitality. They even offer cake for free every day!

Literally love everything about Barbara’s Boutique, it’s the nicest and cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in. I like that breakfast is included in the price, the kitchen facilities are amazing, the beds are comfortable and the communal areas are well maintained!

There is nothing I don’t like. If I had to pick something, maybe more hooks to hang things in the room would be good!

The owner was very nice and helped to arrange onwards transport. The breakfast was good. The weather wasn’t good when we were there but on a clear day you’d have a good view of the volcanoes from the roof terrace.

I don’t recommend the downstairs room with the shared bathroom. The toilet and shower rooms were in the common area/by the front gate and it wasn’t nice to walk across this area in just a towel (the shower wasn’t big enough to take clothes in). The shower also didn’t have a lock. Our room had no natural light and a window which looked onto the stairs, so anyone on the stairs could see into the room, and the room was damp and dark. Breakfast is served just outside the room so it wouldn’t be possible to sleep whilst anyone is eating breakfast. The room generally needed some TLC and updating. It’s also a bit of a long walk into the centre of town.

The bed and pillows were so comfy, it was warm and private. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hammocks were a nice touch.
