We booked a tree house and it was a unique experience being approx 10+mtr above the ground in the canopy, btw on eye level with birds & bats. Restaurant & service was perfect. We enjoyed 2 tours on-site: day&night walk! Saw a lot of birds, monkey and 2 sleeping Tucans next to our treehouse and many others…plus a caiman next to the restaurant

(Maybe due to the humidity, we had 12h rainfall one day), the treehouse had a little smelly flavor…not, a big problem. Well, it is not recommended to open doors & windows…for a reason. ;-)

A very special place & a breathtaking view (from our room, see picture) towards the volcano! It basically is a huge park, well maintained with a few tracks on the location itself. We enjoyed a (free) guest tour, also 2 times. Besides of many bird views, we fully recommend to visit the frog pond after 6pm (see picture) Service is perfect!

Well, compared to the rest of this place, we would have expected a better restaurant (more variety & more competitive prices (An „today‘s“ main course offer for 50 USD…) This is the only thing to be improved. All other categories are best in class.

The pool is lovely, and it's a beautiful setting. Lots of wildlife on the property. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The jungle house was perfect for our family. We loved the visits from raccoons at night looking for food... Don't leave anything in the kitchen!

The showers maybe could have been more powerful.. Very low pressure. The kettle also broke and we couldn't get a replacement. However nothing spoiled our experience!

Good location in the town, and access to the brother hotel near the La Fortuna Volcano was a huge positive. Nice place to stay for the price we paid. We did get a significant discount though. Breakfast was good too and staff super friendly and helpful.

Rooms are very basic, happy with the price we paid but if we had paid full price I may have been a bit disappointed.

The location is excellent, right by the beach but not in the noisiest part of town.

However the rooms themself are very noisy. The ceilings have no insulation, so you’ll be able to very clearly hear the footsteps of your upstairs neighbour on the creaky floors. The windows also aren’t real windows but cheap plastic screwed into the window frames. So any noise from outside the hotel is immediately disturbing. There is also no hot water. The ceilings are very low. And in my room te airconditioning was barely working. I cannot recommend this hotel.
