The staff were so lovely and helpful - breakfast was delicious. The building/room designs were really interesting and aesthetically pleasing - kind of art nouveau with a cheeky art deco sunburst here and there. The locations is amazing and so relaxing. We loved the contrast of being up in the peaceful jungle but then being able to look down on the beautiful sparkling lights of Santa Marta, only 45mins away in the called below was really special.

My partner and I had such a fantastic stay at Ubuntu. 🌞The location was idyllic and beautiful - we swam and sunbathed at the lovely private beach, everyday during our three night stay there. 🏊🏝️The staff were welcoming and kind. 🫶The meals of the in-house chef were delicious and made up fresh. 😋 Ubuntu is the perfect place to relax and enjoy Island Grande at a slower pace that is away from the party crowds. 100% recommend. 🧘♂️☀️

The place, the little details making this feel like a good place to stay and enjoy your surroundings . Clean and quiet. The bedrooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. Hot water with pressure in the showers The wonderful location in a lush garden next to the river.The people were so nice, sweet and helpful. I think it is a beautiful and clean room, which makes me feel at home. It also has excellent location. A very good experience. I loved my stay here and would recommend it very highly to anyone wanting to have a good base while exploring Santa Marta, Minca,Tayrona Park or just to relax.

the hotel was beautiful with an amazing view at the beach, city and mountain. The staff was very nice and friendly and helped me with everything I needed. The room was simple but the view was everything. the breakfast was delicious

the location is quite far from the center. However it's 10-15 minutes by taxi. Uber is not fully legal in Santa Marta so not always possible to get one. From the city center is very easy to get a taxi and from the hotel the staff can order for you. But you are not very flexible because most things happen in the center.

Lovely social hostel with plenty of activities to get involved in such as salsa classes. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking basic meals and the rooms/shared bathrooms were always kept clean.

Very clean rooms and bathroom. Quiet and never had to queue to use any of the shared facilities. Kitchen was relatively well equipped to make simple meals. Great breakfast!!

There was a bedside lamp without a bulb which made the room less cozy, only the overhead light worked. Some rooms don’t have a window.
