We liked the modern, stylishly furnished, very clean and comfortable apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, mountain Unterberg view from the balcony, warm responsive hosts, convenient parking next to the house, and excellent location relative to Salzburg (10 minutes to the centre by car) and very close to the impressive Hellbrunn Palace complex with a vast park. There are two large supermarkets a few steps from the house. The bicycles provided to us by the hosts were a nice bonus (there is a wonderful bike path along Salzach River right from the house to Hellbrunn). Also, we have got from the host excellent advice on the sights and hikes of the area.

The bedroom window faces a busy road, absolutely quiet only from midnight. Yet if it bothers you, a couple can comfortably sleep on a double sofa bed in the guest room which, faces the opposite side and is always quiet even with an open balcony door.

Clean and spacious apartment and much cheaper than the town close by. Really friendly hosts who welcomed us even when we booked very last minute in a thunderstorm. 😄 They even gave us some home made bread and stored it dirty bikes in their tidy garage. Loved the fact there was a well stocked coffee machine too!

Towels would have been nice. Especially a hand towel and soap in the bathroom. Otherwise no complaints!

The location is very good, close to the main street and to a metro station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. There is a record player in the room, and you can get records from the reception.

Theodora, staff member at reception was very helpful and tried to instantly remedy what she could when we advised her of any issue. The location was good, so we could get to the city centre easily. The room was clean.

There is no automatic lighting at the entrance (when coming in at night) or to go up the narrow stairwell. When we asked about this the next day we were shown where the switch was! This should be advised in advance. The little fridge did not keep perishables cool or cold (fridge needs replacing), the Nespresso machine does not work properly (no milk supplied - thank you Theodora for giving us your milk!), the curtains fall off the rails when one draws them ( I had to climb up on a table to replace hooks on track that have no stopper! )The clothing drawers were stained inside and old, the bathroom sink blocked up as the stopper remained closed tight. It became unhygienic (next to the toilet bowl) to fill the kettle from there but there was nowhere else and the water filled the basin - cleaner unplugged stopper from underneath the next day). The street is quite noisy with a homeless shelter immediately opposite the accommodation, and service vehicles and people coming and going from early in the morning. The building generally very dated.

The property is a bit of a walk (35mins) from the city centre but was very easy to catch a bus or train. There was a bus stop a couple of mins walk away and the property was right near the train station

The ceiling propapbly made of "cardboard", everything from above was heard, but it was a problem only with children, which have to sleep early.

We accidently forgot the key inside our room at 9 PM. When we closed the door we have locked ourselves out of the room. There is no staff working at night and no emergency phone number to call. I have tried calling the hotel on the number advertised in the website with no reply. This is a major issue. There must be away to contact the hotel in case of emergency at night. Another minor issue - there is no cold water at the lobby/reception and the waitress did not allow us to fill in our re-usable water bottles from the dining room during our breakfast.
