Excellent location. We visited a lot of the popular beaches in our 10 day stay in Antigua and, apart from a few secluded beaches that you can only get to by boat, then Jolly Beach was our favourite. This property is less than a 5 minute slow stroll to the beach. Every morning we had an early morning swim before breakfast and another swim before sunset. The jolly harbour area felt safe, the villa was spacious and had everything we needed. It was clean, the air conditioning worked well, the shower worked well and all in all represented excellent value for money.

Maybe a little dated inside but you get to realise that many of the properties in Antigua are quite basic. Even many of the more expensive resorts have basic accommodation (just look at CocoBay at the other end of the beach). Some mentioned the back door didn't lock. It does but we had to get Anthea to show us how. We had no problem with the handover and collection of deposit but can see how it may have inconvenienced others. Perhaps collecting this and returning it electronically would be better (rather than cash). Anthea was lovely and gave her details should we have had any problems during our stay (which we didn't). We found it a little difficult to find the property so recommend maybe some better directions after booking. Even just adding the Peninsular Drive bit would have helped.

Outstanding host communication through the wonderful Marsha, gave recommendations on restaurants and supported with booking. Very clean property and well kept, kitchen facilities and bathroom all in good working order. Poolside decking lovely as well, allows for 8 people to comfortably relax and allows for alfresco dining, LOVED the hammock too :-)

Whilst the villa is described as a home, it’s clearly used as a functional rental property with an abundance of signs in and outside the property which make the look and feel of the place rather ‘unhomely’. Still a great property but doesn’t need the amount of instructional signs everywhere you turn. Another note would be around the description of the location, whilst it says it’s located in Jolly Harbour it’s not technically within the estate and that should be made clear. Only a 7/8 minute walk to the Jolly Harbour estate and would make that clear in the description when booking. Unfortunately slight annoyance on both sides from the neighbours, one was constantly under construction and the other housed 6/7 dogs which would bark at the site of their own shadows. Most likely this was just a moment in time with our visit but worth noting for sure.

The staff at Siboney were excellent-at the ready to answer questions and provide information. From introducing us to great taxi drivers, securing tours, recommending restaurants, etc.- all with a smile. The beach was beautiful, and pool right outside our door.

Just fyi. -Taxis only take $- prefer US$. No ATM on site but one close by. You get $EC but Siboney happy to convert back to US$. - 17% tax on everything plus a 10% service charge on hotel and meals. Restaurants are very upfront about this.

Some aspects of this resort are amazingly good. Food was tasty, staff were great, Prickly Pear island was unique, the pools were very good, the entrance lobby was stunning...

Beach was smaller than portrayed by photos and lots of seaweed. The rooms were bit uninspiring. The gardens looked like needed some work to make them more impressive. Generally looked like some parts of property needed refurb/retouch as looked jaded.

Bathroom was large and spacious, and shower was excellent. Parking was available, close by but not on-site.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Two twin mattresses pushed together do not equal a king bed, especially when one is harder than the other and of course there is a noticeable gap between the two. In addition, the wooden bed frame extending 6" passed the edge of the mattress, means you have to climb into the bed and cannot sit on the side of the bed!! The TV was useless, with 250+ Amazon Freevee TV as it's impossible to find a channel and there are no local regular TV stations available. Again useless!!! There was no indication that I was travelling in the off-season and that many of the local restaurants, etc, were closed for the season. As a result, food options were limited. Finally, there was only a wooden desk chair and nowhere else to sit and relax in the room! No pool or restaurant on-site though the Club restaurant was across the road in the Marina.

Location. One needs to hire a cab, which is expensive in Antigua, or rent a car to enjoy this peaceful flat. It is in the middle of nowhere.

Accommodation was dated no Wifi. No rooms cleaned you have to pay to get the room cleaned. The food was average but you get what you pay for its a 3star hotel. It's ok for a few days!
