Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMusic was extremely high and went on till late at night. Also, you have to watch out for bugs; there are tons of them there.
The views were beautiful, the staff was helpful, and the food was great.

ColombiaGreat place, a little bit noisy as they play music until late hours at night, if you are looking for a place to rest or meditate over the weekends, this may not be a place for you. They also got a lot of orphan dogs begging for food into their restaurants, that may be something unpleasant if you don't like having animals asking for food while you are eating.
Good attention from staff, great place and amazing view. Canopy experience is great, delicious food. Most of stuff is very kind. Rooms are very nice and the bird watching is amazing. A little bit far and the road is not in that great shape, better to visit in a 4x4 and not in motorcycle as we did as it can be a little bit scary.

United KingdomNo mosquito nets (whilst there were not loads, I personally got really bitten!) Not a complaint as the location was fantastic, but consider that it costs around 70,000COP in transport there and back to the hostel.
Amazing location high in the mountains, an incredible places to watch the sunset. Breakfast was great and there were lots of options. Despite being cut off from the town, the bar and restaurant were reasonably priced (around 30,000COP for a main) Staff were really friendly.

ColombiaThe road to the hotel has many cracks and is very long from the town, which being in the middle of nature is understandable.
The hostel has a wonderful view, they have good organization and logistics. The Customer service helps you if you need, give you advice about what to do there or in the village.

United Arab EmiratesThe location is very beautiful but extremely remore, its almost 1 hour by mogorcycl or jeep 4x4 from city of Minca, and the unpaved road is quite challenging, the charge is a lot 30k by moto and 120k by jeep whivh can take 4 persons. The little bungalow houses are very nice placed, the views are amazing. There are 2 parts of this hostel and I do not know how they decide to allocate the rooms/ bungalow, but i was put in Sede2 , unfortunately only in my last day i went to Sede 1 which is definately nicer , the pool is nicer with better views an nice places to take pictures. The food is very limited and just ok-ish if you are picky then thia is hoimg to be a problem. Breakfast included is basic either eggs with toast or arepa and either cereal with fruits or granola with yoghurt. They give coffee and fresh juice also, my first day i was not offeres juice i did not even know . For lunch and dinner you have to inform them ahead usually is 3 choices but the food quality is low., don't expect a lot and is not cheap at all. 30k for a meal ehich means you will be spending another 100k COp at least per day for food and drinks. The rooms have a fan which is ok, but yet is not extremely hot there so is ok. They sell very very expensive water is 3k COP 500ml which means 2L per day will be 3 usd . All in all is a nice place to enjoy nature and beautiful views and snap your insta stories. Other than that, the whole place, on both sides play extremely loud music from 8am till after 11 pm sometimes which is annoying, defeats the whole purpose of enjoying the nature and chill. Bare in mimd, this IS NOT A CHILL PLACE, IS NICE BUT YOU WILL HEAR BLAATING MUSIC FROM EVERYWHERE, INCLUDING THE WORKERS ON SITE PLAY THEIR OWN ON SPEAKERS, AT SOME POINT I WAS TRYING YO RELAX IN A HAMMOCK AND THERE IS MUSIC FROM 3 PLACES D'OH!!! Staff is ok, not wow but you can live with it. The most importand, there is NO HOT WATER , SO FORGWT ABOUT WASHING YOUR HAIR FOR THE ENTIRE STAY IN MINCA...

IrelandNo bin in the rooms. Shared bathroom situation was not the best would defo only book rooms with a private bathroom in future. Meals very international style no option for Colombian or healthier options and coffees are very small 😂 The lmusic does go all day and into the night so you don’t really get to take in just peace and serenity of the surroundings
We loved the location so high up in the mountains, it was very picturesque. Amazing views Loved the glamping pods. Most staff were extremely helpful and friendly- particularly andres at the bar and the lady at checkin (unsure of her name) Breakfast and meals were huge Fans in rooms were strong Easy to organize transport to and from the hostel via motos or shared jeeps although it should be noted this will take time as roads are not really roads loved the huge hammocks!

MaltaWater was not given for free, and was very expensive to buy. Loud music constantly playing till late at night, which in my opinion ruins the point of visiting a beautiful place like this in nature. The receptionist was a bit rude too while checking us in, as he threatened to sanction us if we bring our own snacks or drinks again. I understand there is a policy, but there is way how to say this to your clients. This was very unprofessional from your end, and you guys know who I'm referring to!!
The views are spectacular. Cute huts with your own net patio. I also liked that every room had it it's own entrance. Breakfast was good too.
