Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThis is an amazing property up in the mountains a few kilometres from Minca. You will need to get a driver with a 4x4 to take you the few km’s as it is a very rough and bumpy road. It is well worth it though, as the property has amazing views, hiking trails, a restaurant with great food (which we struggled with for a lot of our trip in Colombia) and it is very close to the Marinka Waterfalls.

United KingdomThe location is beautiful (just up from the waterfalls and under an hours walk into Minca). The accommodation is stunning and you feel very close to nature. The site are rescuing trafficked animals and there are some to be seen around the place! The food and dinner service were excellent!

NetherlandsNothing. Everything was perfect.
Everything. The animals, the staff, the room, the views, the restaurant and the food, the service. This is hands down my favourite place to stay in all of Colombia. We had multiple species of hummingbirds fly by the bird feeders in our room! So so beautiful to be able to stay at this beautifully designed property and immerse in nature.

Amazing hotel, great location with stunning views of the valley. We could have just stayed on the balcony all day enjoying the views and the beautiful birds. We were pleased to stay out of Minca which is too busy and not very relaxing. Worth the journey up the hill for the tranquility. Very comfortable room with good bed and nice design.

CanadaThe only downside is the cost of travel, at 100,000 for the trip from mInca to the reserve and the same for the return journey, a fee I consider somewhat high. However, there's no denying that the road presents singular challenges, imperatively requiring the use of a 4X4. In my opinion, it would be wiser for the hotel to take charge of coordinating these transfers and include them directly in the overall price of the stay. After all, given the luxurious nature of the experience on offer, it seems to me more appropriate to pay for this cost through the price of the stay rather than separately. Apart from this remark, I am extremely satisfied with my choice to stay at this reserve. I highly recommend this oasis in the heart of the jungle and hope to have the pleasure of returning soon!
I had the pleasure of staying at the Reserva Natural Tierra Adentro, and I have to say that the experience was absolutely fabulous, not to say incredible. Access to the reserve is relatively straightforward, although you have to take a 4X4 from Minca to get up to the establishment. Once there, the place reveals itself to be a veritable haven of peace: a nature reserve, an oasis in the heart of the jungle. On our first day, we explored the waterfalls right next to the hotel, accessible after a short 2-minute descent. A private entrance leads to this magnificent site. It was an unforgettable moment of mother-daughter bonding, playing in the water and walking in the river. Afterwards, we took part in two excursions designed to educate visitors about the refuge and introduce them to the coffee and cocoa plantations. The latter were led by Mauricio, a barista specializing in Colombian coffee production processes - an excellent guide! As for the accommodation, our room was simply perfect and MAGNIFICENT. Sleeping in the middle of the jungle while enjoying such a high level of comfort offers an unparalleled experience of well-being, a true connection with the universe. The availability of hot water, thanks to solar energy, was a very welcome bonus. The family room we chose was sumptuous, with a prestigious colonial decor. I was truly seduced by this hotel. Meals are prepared in an open-plan setting, allowing guests to watch the cooks at work, which adds an undeniable charm to the experience. The quality of the food was top-notch, as was the speed of service. I have no hesitation in recommending this place, which is now in my top 3 most memorable hotels from my travels around the world!

United KingdomIt was most surprising that there was no safe in the room especially when guests want to go hiking etc. This meant carrying valuables everywhere. The room was rather small, nowhere to hang clothes and the only shelves littered with unnecessary ornaments. Unfortunately the large glass patio doors and balcony face the burning sun the whole day. This made the room and balcony incredibly hot with no way of cooling down the room. It was very hot at night even with the doors open. If only the rooms had been developed facing the other way!! An equally stunning view but with the room and balcony in the shade all day making them both much more inviting. A real design flaw.. However not all rooms are like this so others may be much better.
The great advantage of this hotel is its location. Minca town itself is saturated with foreign tourists. This hotel removes you from all the noise and places you in a beautiful isolated forest setting where it is absolutely peaceful. The hotel is situated half an hour by jeep uphill from Minca passing through forest and bamboo groves. It is uphill from the popular waterfall on a very steep no through road. The hotel has fabulous views over the forest and waterfalls. There are walks uphill by the river and through the forest. There are a number of cabins spread over the hotel grounds and a separate central restaurant. The grounds are very well tended and filled with tropical trees and shrubs as well as numerous peacocks. Our deluxe room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We had a balcony with comfortable chairs and a great view over the forest .The shower was very good and powerful with plenty of hot water. There was also a fridge in the room. There was a coffee machine and free ground coffee. The breakfast was good and cooked to order along with good coffee and fruits etc. The staff were very welcoming helpful and friendly.

GermanyWould not recommend the massage service (was shorter than agreed but expensive).
What a nice place in the mountains. Approx 30 minutes on a 4x4 from Minca (100.000 COP per ride). Nice food. So many animals (pereira, raccoon, deer, monkey, turtles, etc.) on the property (the Reserva rescues animals which were subject wo wild trafficking and supports them to go back into the nature). Very nice team.

United KingdomI cant think of anything. For the money we paid I cant find any fault.
Beautiful setting and amazing panoramic views of the rainforest. Probably the best place we stayed in Colombia. It was faultless. We woke up to humming birds by our window and you could hear and see monkeys and all types of nature from our room. Even the taxi ride, albeit quite expensive at £20, was part of the fun and well worth the money. Its like a theme park ride the journey.

ItalyLimited options at the restaurant, however the staff tried to offer for alternatives. Limited supply of warm water in the shower, but it's part of the game somehow.
The location is simply great and will allow you to spend day and night fully immersed into nature, listening to both the river and waterfall sounds all the time. Some hummingbirds even flew around the balcony almost at any hour. It was incredible! The hotel has an open-air restaurant and the possibility to do some tours with the hotel directly. I recommend the animal tour as the hotel collaborates as an animal rescue center to host some endangered and mistreated animals, mainly parrots, monkeys, and some other animals. It was super interesting and lovely! Another good point is that the wifi connection is pretty great and stable considering the altitude and remote hotel's location.
