Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe Wi-Fi was very poor the signal was bad therefore not even the TV could be seen because it did not have a good signal and was connected to the Wi-Fi, it is also a very quiet place after 4.00 PM
The beach was good, good weather, the room in general was good too, the food was excellent, buffet mostly and with good options, in general everything was expectant, the pool, the view from the bar, the attention by the staff of the place

United StatesNo Complaints at all
Breakfast was real good , the chicken and French fries was great, my 4 year old loved them. Enjoyed the morning sun rise and the boat ride, the jet ski( a little pricey for 15 minutes, but we understand the hotel doesnt control that), and free canoe rentals was a great experience for the kids. Was a absolute great and relaxing time. I would recommend all to stay at least 1 night and get the whole experience for 24 hours.

ColombiaUnfortunately there were A LOT of small details. For one, when we got to our room, the toilet and toilet paper were dirty. We didn't say anything and cleaned it ourselves, because we figured it was just from leaving the bathroom window open, and debris fell down. But then, one of the bath towels was dirty too. And it was kind of a hassle to get it changed. The staff at reception wasn't really helpful when we told them. The drain in our shower was clogged and water kinda flooded the entire bathroom hall each time we took a shower. And we had to request soap because they didn't give us any at first. Also, the shampoo dispenser was broken. The lights in the room were really dim and some lightbulbs didn't even turn on. We thought it was OK, and even kinda romantic, but then the island had blackouts that rendered the lights and ac useless for most of the second night. I get it's not their fault, but they should've have measures in place. The included breakfast was meh. Bland, small portions accosted by flies and the waiters were not very helpful. Our biggest complaint has to be the boarding of the ship to the island. We expected to board on a pier, but instead it was a small boat floating a few meters from the shore. We had bags with electronic devices and delicate clothes, but we still had to get wet climbing on board. Thank God our bags didn't, but it was close. Every time we had to take the boat back to Cartagena and back, it was an ordeal. We struggled getting water and sand out of our shoes and clothes each time we got out of that boat in the beach. It was really bad and I truly hope they improve this. For this sole reason, I wouldn't stay in this hotel or in tierra bomba again until they fix it.
The room layout and decor was great, very similar to the photo we chose. The beach, the pool and the ambience were relaxing and amazing. We had so much fun. Also, the paid food and cocktails were delicious.

United StatesThe rooms could be much better with a little more attention to detail, some fresh paint or fixing a floor and you get a much better impression. ATTENTION: There is a guy named Alex on the beach who sells boat trips and jet ski. He is not to be trusted do not buy from him. Some staff was great while other staff seemed uninterested in providing a great service. We only gave personal tips to the staff who were great and we did not tip on the total bill.
The beach was very nice and clean. Some staff was very kind and helpful. We had a great time but the place needs a manager to take care of some details such as fixing up some of the rooms and separating the great staff from the bad ones.

MexicoThe staff, especially the one that arranges transportation to the island and the front desk, is incompetent. Unlike other hotels, they do not take the initiative to let guests know in advance how to get to the hotel since it is on an island. I had to insist by text and phone to ask. It took a long time to get back to me, even up to 24 hours between messages and no answer on the phone. At the end of the day of my check-in, they told me that there were no more boats because of the time, and they did not help me in any way to find another way to transport me to the hotel. On the contrary, my previous hotel (Fenix Beach) took the initiative to find me a way to get to Palmarito. That is what a hotel with good customer service should do.
The outdoor facilities such as the pool, restaurant, beach and activities are great.

United StatesBed needs improvement as it slumps/sinks down. Smell in bathroom plumbing issue but it’s an island so it’s expected. Could use more trash clean up to make it a 5 star but really a great value.
Friendly staff. Great location. Just a note-I somehow left my cell phone at the view point and it was kindly returned. Can’t believe the nice guy found and searched for us but I forgot his name to give him recognition.

One of the better places to stay in Tierra Bomba. Nice pool, friendly people and a restaurant. Pool is excluded from really loud music (which is common for all places in Tierra Bomba as it is a party Island during the day for local people)

This is basically a beach club where most folk come for the day from 09.00 - 3PM think great tunes, lots of people, flowing bar, busy beach. super nice staff. super cool beach sellers - remember they have to make a living - as a solo traveller they were all really cool to me - my first stop in Columbia - frankly couldn’t have been better. I stayed for 3 nights. super quiet at night unless a big tour of people staying over and even then it all finished by 9. Great food. A spa. ideal lagoon for swimming, lush grounds with pool and shaded areas for relaxing. friendly group of dogs and 2 donkeys that magically appear at sunset. if you stay for a few days and want more chilled daytime beach action turn right out of entrance - walk for 10 mins and you’re on Punta Arena beach - maxo chilled out. Grabbed a tour round the island on the back of a motorbike - well worth it. visited the Fort. Bike owners friend showed me around. v v good. An eye opener to see how locals go about business. in brief great location, superb food, lovely smiley friendly folk either running the place or hanging about doing their business. Ace.

Ecuadorthe only issue was a low speed internet, but with a lot of fun in the resort there is not to much need of the wi-fi.
The service and the attentions of the staff were very admirable, they treat you very well and are always ready for your needs. The water on the beach was clean, the accommodations were very adequate, the tents and furniture on the beach were very close to the water and you could rest your feet in the sea water. The bar was available from very early and with very exquisite drinks. The entertainment from the staff was fabulous and water games at very low prices. this is a great place to enjoy.

BelgiumIt’s the worst hotel we been to in 26 years. We booked 2 nights but we already left after 1 nights. From 8 in the morning there arrive boats with daytourists. I think in total 200 persons, so as a hotelguest you don’t have a nice stay. The breakfast is disgusting. The food tastes like it’s been there for 3 days. And then there is the pool.. you don’t see the bottom of the pool because of all the dirty things. It’s smells like the sewer. When you are at the beach, every minute you are harassed by a seller. The jetski sellers ride past the bathing people so fast, that it’s life threatening.
NOTHING!
