Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceAlthough the owner's wife was lovely and incredibly helpful, the communication with the owner himself was not as smooth and effortless. For instance, I kept paying a taxi to and from the hotel for 2 days, while another guest was offered rides to the town. Only on the last day I was about to leave and had already booked my taxi again, did he say that he could have dropped me off. However, this was offered already too late and the difference in the treatment of the guests was somewhat strange.
Stayin at Kasama hotel was a wonderful experience! Waking up and having the mountain view was incredibly beautiful. The environment was very peaceful, the room very spacious and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to combine comfort with the incredible beauty of the Madgalena valley. The lady at the reception is incredibly kind and helpful, happy to chat and recommend places. The balcony where someone can practise yoga in the morning has a breathtaking view!

ColombiaFood was good, with limited choices for breakfast: it would have been good to change the menu from time to time and include a piece of fruit or fruit juice. It is a rural location, and because of that you need a car to go to the activities/attractions, or get food (lunch and dinner). An area for improvement could be putting an electric socket on both sides of the bed.
The location was very nice and had wonderful vistas. The hotel building is a very creative out of the ordinary structure. The entire place was clean and welcoming. Felipe and his wife were outstanding: my family and i got sick during our stay at Kasama and they provided us with what we needed to get better (no matter the time a day or night). Very good Wi-Fi. They provide unlimited filtered water to fill our water bottles, something that was greatly appreciated.

ColombiaEverything was great.
A really beautiful hotel built on the edge of the Magdalena river canyon that let us have breathtaking morning views. We had two large rooms with comfortable beds and clean private bathrooms. Very friendly and hospitable owners, family that lives at the place as well, who picked us up in the town after arrival in the night and gave us a ride back to explore the town and the archeological sites on the next day. Thank you so much for the lovely stay and for lending me your bike for free for the whole day. Looking forward to coming back one day and staying longer.

United KingdomIt was an absolute pleasure to stay here whilst visiting beautiful San Agustín. The couple who own the place are lovely and go above and beyond to make sure you can get the most out of your stay. They're always willing to offer tips , recommendations and help with transport in San Agustín and beyond. The views from the spacious room are breathtaking. The free breakfast in the morning is excellent, too! The centre of town is a 25 minute walk from the property or a 5 minute taxi ride. I'd thoroughly recommend Hotel Kasama to anyone looking to visit San Agustín!

SwedenCan't complain about anything, but it's good to know the place is located on the countryside and that you will need a car/motorbike or taxi to get around. I'm sure the owners will help you with this if you want to.
Loved this place. Family run and very cosy. A quiet place near nature with beautiful views. Only a short drive to the town of San Agustin and close to the amazing archaeological parks in the area. Cosy and tasty breakfast with the best arepa we had in Colombia. Big and clean room with a big and comfortable bed. When we arrived we received a lot of information about places worth visiting in the area. This was the best and most well organised turist information that we received during our three week stay in Colombia. The couple who owned the place and their staff were super friendly and welcoming. Wish them all the best and would recommend everyone to stay here!

Swedennothing to complain about.
This is an excellent lodging when in San Agustin. It is a bit outside of the town but the owners offer the pickup and drop off for guests arriving and leaving by bus. And the location offers splendid views and such a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean. The breakfast is very tasty with delicious home-made arepas. For other meals it’s possible to order to the hotel. The owners are wonderful, kind people, sharing a lot of good advice on what is worth seeing in the area, arranging guides and dropping guests of at the Archeological Park.

PanamaNo fault of the hotel, this is a local problem with the internet provider. Internet was adequate for most people, but as digital nomads we were unable to upload large files. This probably will not affect most people but for other nomads we'd like to mention it. It may also be a short term problem solved by the internet company soon.
An absolutely stunning view, set just out of the town of San Agustin. Quiet, private and beautiful. This hotel is almost new. Rooms are very clean, the bed was a king and very comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. The hostess recommended a restaurant in San Agustin for our dinner and has many excellent recommendations for local sights and activities. You will be looked after very well if you stay here. We're pretty fussy with our accommodation, and we highly recommend this place.
