It's a hell of a walk with a big backpack from Minca but we knew this before and wasn't an issue for us but if you aren't the fittest, be warned it is tough!

Beautiful hostel in the jungle above Minca, overlooking the hills, Santa Marta, and the sea. Yulia was a welcoming host, the rooms are spacious, and there are many hammocks you can relax in and watch the sunset. Lots of hikes are available right from the doorstep. Good location, beautiful hostel, lovely staff.

I was the only one in my dorm, there is no organized activities so it was hard to connect. The food was very basic and pricy at that (20k for spaghetti with tomato sauce) and there is not much option. They do not have lunch and it is a 30 minute walk to town. The dorm smelled very strongly.

This place is a 30 minute walk out of town (do not walk there alone by night, I found it scary and the path is hard to find!). The views from the garden are stunning, especially at sunset. The hangout area is nice. They do your laundry (no dryer, so plan in some time). They have a booklet with infos on what to do. Both the nearby Finca with a chocolate tour/ birdwatching tour as well as the hidden waterfall are worth going.the dorm had many plugs and fans. It was also spacious. Unfortunately, no lockers inside the dorm (small ones in the common area)

Sort of hard to get to from town, but worth it to feel in the jungle/mountain.

Can be difficult to get there - the only option with luggage is a moto taxi (which can be a bit scary, especially in the dark), and walking from Minca (around 40 mins) is quite exhausting in the heat - but worth it!

Really nice experience in Hostel Vista Verde! I only stayed 1 night but would’ve loved staying more nights there! I needed a room with 2 beds. The unit that was given to me included 2 queen size beds, with its pillows, sheets, and a covering against mosquitos (but it was not needed! The unit was clean and cozy, and the price was really good! The staff was amazing, Julia the owner was really nice, Steffany the cook, prepared a delicious dinner, and all the staff was nice, even Jualia’s son was quite adorable and has my name “Alvaro”. The hostel is around 45 min away from town, and you gotta climb a lot of hills, but it is worth the experience. In general I’d recommend this hotel!

It’s quite a hike to get up to the property, so be prepared to take a moto taxi (it’s quite fun nothing to worry about) or walk up some steep hills. When wanting to go into town it’s not as easy as in other hostels in Minca, but there’s plenty to do in the area & they serve dinner at the property (although rather simple). Would be nice if there were some games around to play, given you’ll most likely be staying in the hostel in the evening.

Really relaxed vibe off the beaten path in Minca! This relatively new hostel was a great place to unwind for a couple of days; we enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks and watching the sunset. Vibe was social yet relaxed. Room was big and comfortable, with a mosquito net to help with the bugs (which are big so come prepared).

It was a really calm and quiet place for experiencing the nature. The hosts are really nice and helpful. It is also quite easy to get to some nice waterfalls. You have to know that the hostel is quite remote.

The owner Julia is amazing host, very kind, friendly, always ready to help, ful of information. Place itself is like a little heaven, with amazing view and scenery, very peaceful and mind resting. The hostel and furniture are new. The ambience is very nice and everything is also nicely decorated. We loved staying there and we didn't have any need to go to Minca since the village is very noisy and busy. They have also very delicious breakfasts and dinners. Location is on the hill from where you have perfect starting point to the most attractive hikes and waterfalls. Place was one of the highlights of Colombia. Highly recommended.

Service is amazing. If you wanna be close to minca. Don't go there but if you are looking for some quiet peaceful but still socializing atmosphere. This is the place to be. Had a great time staying here with a overwhelming view and met wonderful people

Hosts and Staff been super nice and helpful- i got sick and they care of me with herbal tea. The view is stunning and the Garden is beautiful with various birds. The Ride up with the Motominks was a Special experience. But keep in mind: The Hostal is to far from the village for hiking with luggage and in the dark.

This place is amazing. Here is why: 1. The location is 2km from the town center. You can walk but I suggest getting the Moto taxi. Normal cars cannot access this area. You are located in the mountains that hosts the best sunsets I have ever seen with mountains, the Santa Marta City and the sea all in one shot. 2. The facilities are basic but very nice. It’s everything you need. Beds are very comfortable. Although recent reviews say they have no wifi, they HAVE IT NOW. 3. Breakfast was always nice and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. 4. We did not eat at their restaurant but others did and they liked it. We also availed of their laundry service which was very affordable. This was our honeymoon. Would highly recommend!
