Great property to stay in a simple short walk into the town, the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, they helped us book what activities we wanted to do. Breakfast was great each morning and the rooms were lovely and clean.

We felt really welcome and the staff was super nice. With the owner Schneider, we had a really good dessert tour and Johanna took good care of us. The location is about outside of town but you can easily walk into the town and dessert

It's a nice place to relax and go see the desert, we need up staying an extra night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, Vanessa helped us with organizing our bus travels last minute. The tour to the dessert was nice, the internet was fast enough to work, the pool is nice.

Rooms are quite simple and not lovingly furnished. But for the price absolutely fine.

Clean and very nice Pool as well as lovely Garden atmosphere to watch birds. The Hotel was very flexible regarding check in and check out times. We recommend to book a room with AC as it gets quite hot in the area. We apreciated the great tour to the Tatacoa Dessert with our lovely privat guide Esneyder which was arranged by the Hotel. Also, the hotel offers a taxi service from and to Neiva. Maik, the taxi driver is very kind and even helped us with our further trip. We had a good time at Tatacoa Hotel!

Lacked a bit of soul/life however not a big problem if you just need good facilities

Is was hot in the room.

The pool after a day in the desert is fantastic. The guide from the hotel , Sneider knows a lot about the desert. Wifi good. Do not miss the Observatory.

The breakfast was pretty simple and not a lot. Also would’ve been nice to be able to fill up our water bottles somewhere.

Pool was great, hammocks were nice and the walk into town wasn’t far. Vanessa tried to help us with organizing our transportation.

Great location, close to town, the desert and also the observatory. Staff were very lovely and helpful with whatever we needed. It was great to have access to a nice pool and it was awesome having a room with aircon.

Mattress was too hard.

At the entrance to Tatacoa desert. Pool is nice during the afternoon. Guide was perfect for the visit of the desert! Recommend a room with air con.

- staff was not so friendly. Seemed as if they didn’t enjoy their job - located outside the center, so it is quite a walk which is not so nice (esp at night). But you can of course use Tuktuk - vegetarian pasta not good at all (I even had stomach problems afterwards).

As digital nomads, a table and chairs in the room would be nice to work in AC (and there was plenty of room there for it).

The staff, specifically the young man with glasses, sorry can't remember his name, was extremely attentive and caring of all of our needs. It's a very nice regional hotel, with a clean and inviting pool, and a short walk from town (5 minutes). Its location and gardens attract numerous birds and butterflies, and the vistas highlight contrasting ecosystems of dry desert with verdant, rich drainage areas. The room was spacious, with a mini-balcony allowing a lot of light. Hammocks in the garden, and a common area for drinks or snacks open late were appreciated. Very very safe. Breakfast was very good.

The pool water was quite dirty with lots of bugs and the water was also quite murky in colour, I would suggest to keep the pump running as it only seemed to be on for an hour or so during the morning. There’s lots of dogs in the area and walk between the hotel and town.

The staff were excellent for the duration of our stay, we extended an extra day on the way which they accommodated. Breakfast options were good, The lunch/dinner options were a very good takeaway menu from a nearby restaurant, The staff ordered on our behalf and delivery was quick. The hotel bar had lots of drinks to offer, reasonably priced. The room was a great size, hot water shower and the hotel in general a nice place to chill and relax. We had an excellent tour of the deserts with the hotels guide, he was very knowledgeable and took loads of photos for us. He also gave great advice on other stuff to do whilst staying.

Hotel is located on the edge of Villavieja, a ten minute walk into town. Very quite and peaceful at night time. The pool is welcome after a desert hike and is tucked around the corner of the hotel building so it is mostly shaded in the afternoon. Free breakfast is great and the staff are very accommodating in arranging trips into the desert and back to Neiva. The small garden is charming, too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel tour guide Esneider was amazing - gave us really useful information and travel tips. This was the first time in Colombia that I felt so safe! Would recommend 10/10.

The pool should have been cleaner. No hot water but since it was really hot this was useful.

You can book the tours to the red & grey desert, river cruise and star gazing with the Hotel. The Guide Schneider is very nice and knowledgeable on the place!

I was not so impressed by the breakfast.

I had a very good time at cosmos tatacoa hotel. The communication before and during my stay was very nice and clear. The staff was super kind and the room was very clean and comfortabel. The location is perfect and the swimming pool was refreshing. I would highly recommend this place! From the hotel I got an amazing tour guide Schneider, with who I went to the desert, observatory and the Magdalena river. I had a wonderful experience in Tatacoa!
