Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe have a standard room, with no view and it could be improved by some decoration, better lighting, sheets and confortable covers. The breakfast can be improved! Its was not tasty.
The view and the pool is ideal. You can see the bay and its so cute!

CanadaThe toilet could be better, the bedroom was comfy but the bedsheets were not warm enough if you wanted to sleep with the AC at the lowest temperature.
This is one of the best hotels in Taganga. Taganga doesn’t have high standard hotels so this is the best you can find, it’s a little fishing village. The view from this hotel is simply amazing, that’s why it’s worth it. The pool was nice too.

United StatesIt isn’t he property’s fault, however, the bars in town play their music loud and well into the night, and the sound carries. We slept through it. If you’re real sensitive to noise, maybe not. On the other hand, no matter where you stay, there’s probably no escaping it. And know that if you stay on the 5th floor, you’ll be climbing 76 steps up and down.
Everything about the hotel was outstanding.

United StatesThe place is very run down and doesn't feel particularly safe. The door had nothing other than a doorknob lock that was almost disconnected. The deck is rotting out and has a caution cone on it. The railing has rusted through. It's sad because this place could be absolutely amazing it's just run down. Also we waited at the front desk for someone to get our key and then gave up and just walked behind the desk and grabbed it. So not secure. Also there is no hot water. And the internet works 50% time at best.
The place has so much potential. There are great places to hang out. The view from the pool is lovely. The restaurant setting is great. The staff are very nice.

United StatesThe only thing we didn't like about our stay was the town itself. Taganga is a very local coastal Colombian town with not as many foreign tourists as expected. The town is dirty with typical vendors haggling you but the worst part is it is the loudest most obnoxious town we have ever stayed in! The local business play music as loud as they can until all hours of the night on the weekends. Week days are a little better. This almost ruined our stay as we couldn't get the best sleep.
We really loved the view of the bay from the hotel. The pool is very nice and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is good a little slow for service at times. The hotel is very well kept despite being older. Beds and room are comfortable with AC and ceiling fan.

CanadaThe breakfast was terrible two very hard fried eggs with two dry pieces of toast 1/2 a pineapple ring and the same of cantaloupe a pretty empty looking fruit bowl. The hotel is over priced and is getting long in tooth needs an update. Wifi very spotty in the rooms.
The location is excellent. The staff are super from the cooks to the cleaners to the pool cleaner and the the front desk staff they will do anything to help.

ColombiaIt is not about property but when are entering to the hotel there is an smell really disgusting but I guess it is because of the beach or perhaps fisherman who throw residuals near to it
the view was awesome just if you buy a deluxe room, otherwise you won’t see the beach or pool! Something I noticed there is no fridge on the room even though it is a deluxe option but everything else really good!

ColombiaHowever, there are some things that are out of the hotel's staff's control, which is the noise factor. During the weekends, it is a great time to celebrate with the locals at the neighboring clubs, but the noise can last until 3:00 a.m. Not recommended if you stay in that part of town until 3:00 a.m. It's a little sketch. So not ideal if you come to just relax on a weekend, but during the week, the noise level is moderate and comfortable. Also, there is no elevator and there are a significant amount of steps. So if you have issues with steps, this may not be the ideal spot for you. The restaurant was primarily open only during the weekends.
First of all, I want to complement the staff. Very accommodating and friendly. The hotel has excellent views of the beach and mountains. The pool and jacuzzi (sun-heated jacuzzi) are also nice features. Close to surrounding beaches and other mini excursions and restaurants.

The food was good, the waitress was nice. the view from the hotel is beautiful. I was very impressed with the staff caring my bags on the shoulder to my room and my luggage weight 50 pounds.

United StatesSee above. Mainly cheap hotel with a high price. And, I hated their rules. So unpleasant.
Carlos at front desk was excellent and helpful. Other staff, less so. Hotel full of rules. They inspect the room prior to leaving like the gestapo. They protect towels as if it was gold. Restaurant staff moody and unfriendly. Hotel has many comfort issues. Flimsy windows allows noise in all night. Taganga is a party town and it is loud all the time. Unpleasant, when the noisy is constantly in room. Bathrooms are run down. Jacuzzi is colder than the pool. Not a good value.
