Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing we didn’t like, except maybe the 1.5-hour drive to Sector Central to begin the hike to Las Torres. Still an amazing place nonetheless.
Rio Serrano is one of our most favorite places to stay around the world. It was our sanctuary we returned to after a long day hiking and exploring. Breakfasts were lovely, and the chef and the staff took care of all of us until the last day when the hotel closed for the season. We also ate at the bar and the restaurant for lunch and dinner, and the service was exceptional as well. The spa area was like a dream, especially on windy days. Overall, we loved our stay and will come back!

United StatesHot water in the room showers would run out on occasion but the showers in the spa always had great pressure and temperature.
Property has everything you could want and a very friendly staff. Some reviews claim the pool is too cold but it’s a pool and not a hot tub. We spent a few hours in it and found the water temperature to be fine. Prices of food are relatively higher but to be expected in the middle of nowhere and we found them to be about the same as food prices in the major US cities.

BrazilThe maid service could be much better, basic things like replacing used glasses, organizing the towels and removing the hair from the bathroom floor from one day to the other were not done, they came in and made the bed and that was it, not consistent with the level we expected from the hotel. The bathroom is tight for a hotel of this level.
Very comfortable room, with wonderful bed, perfect for resting after a long day of walking. The hotel is beautiful, with wonderful views, including the spa, which was very complete and pleasant. The reception and tour agency staff, and waiters were very kind and helpful, They were very kind, presenting us with a bottle of wine to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food in the restaurant and bar was also very good.

ThailandLiterally nothing. The only suggestion might be increasing the 10-litre gas quota for a car as gas stations in Puerto Natales are ~90 Km away on a dirt and gravel road which is not easy to travel at all.
We booked the Mountain View rooms and we were very satisfied. You can enjoy the mountain view from everywhere in the hotel from Lobby, Bar, Dining Room or even the indoor swimming pool, etc from dawn until dusk. The view here is even better than those hotels inside the Park which charge you a lot more with less services. Menu for both food and beverages have great variety with good quality that we still enjoyed them even on the fifth and last day. We also enjoyed the special event of "Patagonian Roast Lamb" very much and wished we could experience this more. We had the "all inclusive" package and it was really a worry-free one with very good lunch box and snack for you to hike.

IsraelNOTE: remark at bottom. Reception - bad - we got atic on 4th floor - elevator only goes ti 3'rd. Asked for help from 3 to 4, told to wait 1/2 hour because grouo artived - after us. After complaining and getting annoyed, they found a solution. Atic way overpriced - even though you get breakfast and spa. 4th floor very narrow corridor , atic room, a bit small. Make sure not atic, or get much lower price. Nwxt day were upgraded - so ok.

United StatesI mean, the price is justified, but if you are a budget traveler like we were, more than a night here will hurt the balance sheet.
I mean, this place is expensive for a reason. We traveled for 3 weeks in Chile and this was the nicest place we stayed by far, and also the most expensive. We scheduled a night here as kind of a splurge at the end of our trip and we were not disappointed. It was the nicest breakfast spread that I have ever seen in all my years traveling with the best view. The spa is free to use and is very relaxing and the bar has well-made drinks and apps. If you have the money, don't even bother looking elsewhere for accommodations for Torres Del Paine.

CanadaYou are on the wrong side of the park for some things: usual access is from the other side of the park via the paved road from Puerto Natales. Not necessarily a bad thing. We had a rental car and were able to easily explore the park.
View: we were facing the mountains with walkout onto the grass. Walking to the river was great. Wonderful gym, spa and pool. Very luxurious feeling.
