Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe bathroom door is "sticky", hard to close then difficult to open. So noisey for people sleeping if bathroom is being used. It needs "fixing"
Loved the villa area, absolutely loved the beautiful dog who greeted us, spent time with us & we would have loved to bring him home to NZ with us. However, the cleaning staff assured us he is feed & cared for/looked after.

United Kingdomhe only downside is the location, as you really do need transport if your staying here as its a good 30/40 minute walk into the main town and slightly further to the beaches, so we got a scooter which made a huge difference and i would definitely recommend.
Great little villa and facilities, no oven or hobs, but had microwave, Air Fryer, Toaster, Kettle and an electric hot pan, so everything you would need, they also had a BBQ outside for people to use, if required. The aircon unit was only in the bedroom, but was more than adequate in cooling down the villa. The pool was well kept and clean as well.

New ZealandHonestly our stay was so great but if I had to point anything out, the bbq had no gas in it, and although we could have let the hosts know, it was a public holiday so didnt worry with the hassle. Also on the days that it was absolutely too hot, it would have been nice to have an umbrella pool side for some shade.
Wow red hibiscus villas! What a game changer! We loved being able to make some of our own meals, it really kept the cost down! It was so nice and quiet - you weren’t competing for use of the pool, or sun loungers. Was really clean and nice in the room, big balcony and covered also if you wanted to sit outside and enjoy watching the rain. Was happily surprised that they even offer free onsite laundry facilities! Great to come back with a bag full of clean washing! The grounds and pool were maintained daily, Can’t recommend this place enough, will def be back

New ZealandThe inside and outside of this property was beautifully decorated and our room had a lovely free-flowing layout. We really appreciated the aircon at this property as we found it a bit difficult getting used to the heat and temperature in the middle of summer, so this helped us acclimatize well - along with the on-site pool.

New Zealandperhaps have one more microwave bowl to cook and larger bowls in the kitchen
We arrived in the dark, we were given clear instructions of our unit location. The unit's lights were on so we knew that was our unit, feeling very homie and welcoming Was a little confused about which side the key lock box was. if it was not on the left, then it must be on the right-hand side. Even we were not right on the beach, and the beach was not far. handy to town. we had the pool all to ourselves almost for most of our time there. clear, tidy and well-kept. surprised with the extra kitchen supplied in the unit, eg insect spray and repellent.

New ZealandThere were ants in some areas like in the shower and on the bench top at times. Also there were no shelves in the room area or in the bathroom to stack things on so had to keep going into our bags to grab things out and our bags were heavy. There was also a leak in the lounge area right above the coffee table but wasn’t major.
Nice, cosy space for a couple, spacious enough to be comfortable. Great villa look

SwitzerlandNo cooktop to make espresso with my italian cafeteria and Lavazza. Instant coffee is the pits. A 45 min walk to the bus stop on the other side of the airport in the heat. Taxis charge 20 NZD each way for trips to town, but are not always available. Hence, mandatory car rental with Raro and 15% discount. A pity I was not ok enough to drive.
Very modern and cute tiny house. Nice shower with amenities and fluffy towels. Comfortable bed and pillows. Kitchen equipped with everything but a cooktop. ant spray and electric fryer, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge (no freezer), dishes, cutlery. Long lasting milk and drinkable water for starters. Condiments too. convenient Built in table and two stools. Nice lap pool-ish design. Good beach towels. Couch is of an outdoor variation; cushions could be updated as I had to double them up. Coffee table. TV had one station from NZ. AC available, but perfectly comfortable without (at least for me). Sheets changed at 7 days tho that was stretching it a bit; 5 might have been better. comfortable terrace. Table dirtied by bug coils. Very large Washer available (step stool needed?) Garbage cans adequate and appropriately labeled. Oldish Bikes and helmets. Landscaping tastefully done and well maintained. Staff very sweet and professional.
