Some members of my group had some mobility challenges and the stairs were very hard for them (but it is only three levels). I loved that the bathtubs were so deep—but for short people with bad knees—the tub was too difficult to get in and out. If you have no difficulties with stairs or mobility challenges I recommend a different option)

The rooms were quiet and so clean! Great location for going to see the falls and restaurants were so close. The staff was great—Irene was so gracious and wonderful to work with—it’s clear that she has a passion for making it a wonderful experience for travelers!

The smoking in the bar and outside of the bar. Even though there was no smoking in the hotel the smell was pretty strong in the hallway and up to the stairs.

German was the main language but they tried hard to speak English. Location was great only a short distance to the falls.and the bus stopped across the street. Supermarket was a 5 minute walk away. We found it easy to get around.

We could not have breakfast because there is no gluten free option (I received a refund - which is greatly appreciated). The room is nice but the curtain was torn and without the option of darkening. The TV was connected by electrical cables on the floor. And we had to move the refrigerator to the nearest electricity point. There is no elevator to the room.

the location - not far from the waterfall walking by foot. There is a free public parking space for the night in the other side of the road.

The rooms are officially non-smoker, but the restaurant below is very much smoky, as it is for smokers, and the smell finds its way through the staircase. It is bad that one cannot book and secure a parking in advance; and the parking as such required skills to ''shoehoorn'' any serious car. Window was toward the parking; and the place may get hot in real summer.

Very large room with room with abundant and large storage facilities and very little fridge and small bathroom. It is in Switzerland, of course, and Switzerland is very, very expensive, and so, when compared to othher locations, this one was expensive, too, but when compared to Switzerland, it was at the lower end of the range. The looks of the place weren't truely splendid, but everything fulfilled its purpose.

Small breakfast that is the same thing every day. The hotel is connected to a smoking bar. Even at breakfast people are smoking in that room. That's where you eat breakfast and walk into the hotel every day. Although the signs say no smoking in the hotel part, we smelled smoke in the room and stairwells. The chair in the room needs to be replaced.

Close to the Rhein falls. The staff was nice. We had a balcony. There was a parking spot.

Last minute booking by 4 adults in their 50's who stayed in 2 rooms, Each room $144 a night or CHF 118, plus CHF 2.50 city tax. Per the website, the advertising makes it appear that there are 2 places: a Hostel and a Hotel. However, the entire place was a "Hostel" or we were given the WRONG ROOMS. I am normally pretty kind/forgiving...but this place based on info, ratings and photos and higher price is misrepresented. The entire HOSTEL, where we stayed, (rooms #23, #24, with parking lot view) reeked of old cigarettes AND had new cigarette smoke coming up from the the bar directly below the rooms (the bar had active smokers while we were checking in around 7pm). The on-line advertising (non-smoking) and posted signs in the halls and on doors said "no smoking"! Hmmm? 1 of our 2 room's closet (#23) had an old pillow case filled with clothes and used personal supplies including a toothbrush.. disgusting! Room decor was not what was shown in advertising for the HOTEL, very poor quality and tacky. Light fixture very loose over our beds with a ceiling crack. One of the fitted bed sheets in my room had a black boot/shoe print on it. Parking on website says FREE/INCLUDED, but we were told it was extra upon check-in and we had to pay an additional CHF 7 ....very tight parking lot, but car was ok/undamaged when we left. We wanted to leave windows open to vent the room from smoke, but city noise and church bells were to disruptive. On the positive m, there was a good window Rollläden to block the light. The room had a tiny desk fan. We did walk to a great Italian Restaurant close by which had a great server and excellent pizza! In summary, if the price was half of what we paid, it would have been more "understandable," but I feel we paid a decent amount for the rooms and were shocked by what we walked in to....we did however survive!

The only good thing was the friendly young woman who checked us in (bartender)! She did her best for us even though she was a non-English speaker. She asked us several times through the evening if we wanted drinks. The lobby/check-in desk is in a smoke-filled bar.
