The shower facilities were a little difficult. Could be an issue for elderly people if you struggle with mobility. But not a personal issue

Walter was a great and accomodating host. He had the room ready on time and even carried our bags to the room for us. The rooms are extremely large and worth the money

For the cost I thought what we received was a good value. I’m not sure I would have been as happy staying in the room closest to the entrance door, it seemed more dated.

We stay in room number 12 which was directly across the entrance door. The room was very spacious and clean with a large dining table and the room had multiple windows that open. We didn’t mind sharing a bathroom and had access to a kitchen. They offer breakfast for 8 francs.

Bathrooms were a little odd.

Very bare bones stay, but location was near a bus stop and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a good value and nice in that it was served in our room, so we were able to enjoy it out on our balcony.

On walking distance from the centre of Interlaken and the train station. Perfect host. Clean bathroom. Free coffee and everything you need in the kitchen.

No clear signage outside to suggest you have reached Walters hostel. Reception is to the side of house.

Less than 10 mins walk from Interlaken Ost train station. My room was very spacious and equipped with various charging points. The bed was very comfy. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need and clean.Complimentary coffee too. Bathroom and shower facilities also fantastic, clean towels and soap provided. Walter the host was very nice and offered one complimentary train ticket (subject to certain routes) which I thought was a nice idea.

There is not much to write about here. The bathroom and kitchen had some cob webs with harmless spiders, but nothing to worry about. Something made it feel like home!

Great customer service, location is close to a bus stop. What we did not know before was that the stay includes a city transporation pass for local trains and buses. This was a huge bonus! The rooms were massive and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The host was so joyful and hospitable. We would highly recommend this stay. What you get vs what you pay for it incredible. Also something that was an additional bonus was the Koi fish pond with 2 massive Sturgeons! The building is older, but pretty special. Great stay at Walters Hostel!

We liked everything and we had wonderful time there. -The owner was extremely nice, friendly and welcoming. He made our stay so pleasant and memorable. -The room was so clean, very big and equipped with up to date facilities. -Everything for cooking and eating was provided in the kitchen. Additionally, drinks are provided in the fridge for a very cheap price even cheaper than coop.

The host was very knowledgeable and friendly and assisted us with all of our questions. We were able to drop off our luggage prior to checking in. The host then delivered our luggage to our rooms while we were out in town. The room was great Also, the proximity to the city center was good. Also, we got breakfast for an additional fee, and it was delicious! Would recommend.
