Unfortunately our room (2105) was above a frequently used door leading between bedrooms and reception - the door slammed noisily and disturbed us in the morning particularly. We asked about changing rooms, but there was nothing suitable at the time.

Lovely clean room with comfortable bed and great shower! The staff were friendly and helpful - they provided additional pillows on request :) The underground parking was convenient, but not cheap at CHF 15 per night. It's a lovely walk into Thun, along the lake or the bus is quick and free for tourists. We would love to come and stay again.

Location was great. Just in front of a bus station and near train station of Thun. Switzerland Public Transport Service is one of the best in the world and having the bus stop in front of the hotel was great for us having daily trips of about 2 or 3 hours.

Weird rooms. Ours was a standard room but the shower was behind the end of the bed with a glass wall. So when my partner wanted to get up early and shower the bathroom light shone straight through the giant glass wall into my face. Not a great design. The bathroom door itself is also very heavy and has no handles. I’m sure it looks great in the design but not practical in real life. The room itself was also not very spacious. Hard to get around the far side of the bed. There is no aircon which is fun because the climate is not to hot however to have the window wide open for good ventilation the window itself then becomes a head hazard when getting up from the bed. Also there is no fly net on the window - an easy and necessary fix. The room also has no tv or fridge. Not worried about the tv but the fridge would be useful for keeping drinks and snacks cool especially as it’s summer.

Due to the heat, we had to keep our windows open, and there was a lot of traffic noise. They also charged for coffee for guests.

The hotel lies in a quiet area just outside Thun. Very well served by public transport. You also receive a Panorama Card, with which you can use buses free of charge for all the days you’re staying at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helping. They allowed us to check-in 5 hours before the actual check-in time and to store our luggages for some hours after our check-out free of charge.

- Traffic noise - since there was no air conditioning, the windows had to be opened. - Bedside lamp only on one side. - No coffee machine [may be a good idea to have an automatic one in the building somewhere] - who drinks powdered coffee nowdays?

24chf for Breakfast. Ok it was at an unusual time (Ironman race at 04:00am) but at this time you don't each so much. For a coffe and a bit of bread is an insane price.
