Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaCheck out staff was unfriendly. The room in the old building is too small for the amount of money that I paid. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and I did not have a good sleep during my stay. Hotel patrons should not have to ask for pillows and additional cushions for the bed. The hotel owner should ensure their facility is top notch if they are calling it a 5 star hotel.
Thé Michelin star restaurant was amazing! Kudos to the chef and the staff. Room service staff were amazing. Food at the buffet restaurant was excellent - the best so far!! The gym and spa was great.

SpainCheck in process was not satisfactory. We were given a corner suite room but the staff did not walk us all the way to the room, only elevator, had issues getting in our room but luckily a cleaning lady helped us. My girlfriend settled into her room and I went to exchange keys at front desk, however, head manager did not apologies for the wrong keys but stated to us the hotel gave us the wrong room and proceeded to move us to another smaller room without apologizing for the inconvenience. For the price you pay, unfortunately quality of staff is to be desired, rooms are out dated, no information on how the room works with lights power curtains ext.

SwitzerlandThis supposedly a 5 star hotel, but the service is sub-zero. First my room wasn’t ready and we lost nearly two hours before being able to check in the correct room. Second day they cleaned the room and took the tea cup and tea pot, so I asked at 16h for a new set, I asked again at 16h30, 17h nothing happened, then someone popped up in my room by chance asking me if I need something I told him I was waiting fir my tee pot, after another hour they brought tea cups but still not no tee pot at 18h. At 19h15, the turn down servie team came in my room, I asked them about a tea pot they brought it 5 minutes later so after more than 3 hours I finally had it, I went down to meet the manager on duty informed her about the incident and also told her that my phone wasn’t working any more and that they needed to send a technician to fix it. Never hear about her any more nor dis anyone try to fix the phone. It was as if I talked to a wall. I finally gave up trying to get anything done for me in this hotel. I rate the service team 0, except for the turn down lady who did her job and solved my issue in 5 minutes

United Statesthe hotel charged my card before I formally checked out and when I brought it to their attention they claimed it was an authorization, yet, I received two separate emails during my stay asking me how my stay was as if I checked out, but I didn’t check out and my credit card was pending the charge. this is insulting for a solo traveler and a younger person of financial means. I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay of like-status and age to stay here. this seems targeted to an older crowd and dated in hospitality. the staff in the bar and restaurant were lovely, but the hotel accommodation operations needs help.

United KingdomStaff could be more helpful. Was given wrong info twice (once being the timing of spa, which made miss the spa in the morning until the last day). Housekeeping was not on par with a 5* hotel at all, specially one at this cost. I left a dirty wet bath robe in the bath. Instead of changing it they just hanged it up again. They left cleaning cloths in the room. They didn't leave water in the room. One of the stingiest 5 stars I've even seen (I travel at least once or twice a month, business and leisure). Beds were too soft and bouncy. Pillows uncomfortable. Definitely too over-rated.

AustriaThe service on all levels not existent. There are a few people trying to maintain the old Dolder Grand level but is not enough. Service is worse then at a 4 star hotel. Food at lunch time is nothing special. Not for the money you pay. The Dolder Grand is no more worth the money.
