Beautiful boutique hotel located on north bank of lake Brienz. Room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel garden faced to Lake of Brienz has breathtaking views.

Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Bins would not be emptied nor coffee/cups/etc. replenished. One day window was left wide open exposed to the elements on a rainy day.

The breakfast was okay, it had cold meats and cheeses, some fried pastries (samosas, rosti) and bread and jams. They also offered to cook eggs for you. I'm gluten free so it wasn't the best for me, however I didn't actually ask if they had bread as I usually travel with my own.

Where do I begin. If you're looking for somewhere beautiful to stay look no further. This place was by far my favourite on our entire Switzerland road trip. I decided to spend a little more and get the room with the lake view and it was so worth it and would recommend to everyone. There's a little balcony that overlooks the lake and it's just beautiful. The hotel has a traditional feel to it which I really liked as well as the eclectic paintings and decorations. The owner is so lovely and speaks really good english. He was able to recommend a few things for us to do. In terms of location it's a little outside of Interlaken and Brienz however, you can walk about 5 minutes and find the ferry port (steep hill). They run around 4-5 times a day and will take you on a lovely trip to Brienz or Interlaken. There is also a bus that runs frequently or you have the train station about 5-10 mins walk which runs late into the night and takes less than 15 minutes from Interlaken. Because of the location there are limited options for food so I would recommend going to Interlaken for dinner/ lunch etc. However, it's so peaceful and quiet that honestly we loved staying there, compared to the business of Interlaken. They also have parking which is a massive win!

The breakfast was exceptional. They even offered us mixed eggs, and they had a delicious Quiche. The view of the lake in front of the hotel was perfect, and we could see it while having breakfast. All the staff talked in Portuguese with us, so we felt more comfortable.

We liked everything

The location is nice. The village is not so crowded as Interlaken, but there is a shop and a couple of restaurants. Also you can always go to Interlaken by bus or by foot (30 min) The rooms are comfortable, all the building is beautifully furnished. The breakfasts were delicious

View is amazing. Coming by train sbb use a Taxi from interlaken station will be better. Without luggages ringeenberg station and bus stop are very easy access. However With car this is the best location

Breakfast was good. Location was good, parking was easy, very nice view from the hotel. We stayed at 3 different regions/hotels in Switzerland around the same price range and this was our favorite for location, value, and breakfast. This was the only hotel out of the 3 that offered breakfast and we missed the breakfast once we left.

The lake view from the room and the balcony was amazing, it was really hard to leave.. The location was great: away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still within a 3 minute train ride. There was a nice hiking trail nearby that takes you to the beautiful lakeshore in just a few minutes, and the same lakeshore trail also takes you to the Ringgenberg boat stop where you can take a boat to explore other places, like Isetwald and Giessbach. Last but not least, Mr. Richard: what an exceptional host! Thank you for everything during our short stay, we will definitely come back for a longer one.

Alpina Boutique Hotel was a perfect stop on our travels through Switzerland. Located just outside of Interlaken, it’s peaceful seclusion was just what we wanted and the view from our balcony was stunning. We made this our base for a few days and traveled out by the very convenient trains to some wonderful day adventures. Owners Richard and Tania are so hospitable. Their morning breakfast service was the perfect start to each day.

Great size and clean room and very welcoming friendly host. Fantastic view right on the lake with a great terrace for drinks and relaxing. Ringgenberg is a much better location than the touristy hustle and bustle of interlaken. Breakfast was excellent as well. Easy parking.
