Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesRooms had no air conditioning and it got a bit stuffy. We opened the windows but it wasn’t enough. Also, the light switches are very confusing. One is a main switch but not marked as such so it takes a bit to figure out, especially when housekeeping turns it off. Hotel uses a lot of glass as partitions which is fine but the glass wall in our bathroom and the one we sat next to in the restaurant didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a long time. Everything else was clean so I think housekeeping just needs to add cleaning the glass walls to their daily routine.
Staff was fabulous and the location was incredibly convenient!

United StatesThe towels were clean but threadbare, with shredded edges and a hole-the kinds of towels I would use for rags. We asked for our room to be cleaned and one day it wasn’t cleaned at all, the next it was only cleaned at four pm and I could hear the housekeeper complaining about having to clean it.
We were three adults and they gave us a nice sized room which was clean and neat. The location was very convenient close to both old town as well as the train station and the boat ferries. The front desk was great and even helped me make a dinner reservation. The building is historic and gorgeous.

United StatesThe shower is minuscule and we are small people and water leaked The food at breakfast was barely enough edible and there were so many tour groups each day that we could hardly get in a question though they were helpful once You had their attention. The room was not well cleaned with broken food bits on the floor. They were quick remedying this.
Location Location!! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage for your stuff plus a little balcony. We upgraded so we had a nice size room but we saw other rooms they were tiny.

TaiwanThe location couldn’t be better—it’s right next to the train station. They have single rooms, which are perfect for solo travelers. My room had just been renovated, so everything was modern and comfortable, though there was still a bit of that ‘new renovation’ smell. Thankfully, there was a fan to help with ventilation. The view from the high floor was great, but unfortunately, there was another hotel directly across, so I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy.

United StatesDidn't include breakfast. There was construction clean up going on in the court yard outside our room that was early in the morning (7:30am) and was very loud.
Walking distance to down town and train and bus stations. We enjoyed the river side dining, walking through the old town area (chuches, bridges and city's defensive wall), visting Mount Pilatus and viewing the panarama of the French army's surrender to the Swiss - there are only a few of these large circular paintings in the entire world.

AustraliaThe room did not have air conditioning, but a fan was provided for the bedroom. It was fine for us, though other guests might find it less comfortable during warmer weather. I’d feel it was a bit pricy for a 3-star establishment, but I also realise it is expensive in Lucerne for accommodation. Breakfast is nice and basic. Good to know directly across the road is the ‘Daily Food Corner’ this has a great selection of fresh food to take on the go and other necessities.
It was convenient being right across the road from the main railway station. While just outside Old Town, it’s an easy walk to all the sights. The staff were friendly and made the stay pleasant.

SingaporeWas not informed there are 2 types of room numbers on the same floor. 3 digits and 4 digits. 4 digit rooms are supposedly in the new "annex"? part. No ironing board and iron in room so need to give to counter in morning afterwhich they will iron and deliver to your room in about 45 minutes. The circulation in our room was poor even with open windows, fortunately the 2 fans made it tolerable. Maybe I overlooked that there is no aircon. But, note there is NO aircon. No toothbrushes/toothpaste to be found.
LOCATION is excellent since it is just next to the train station. Small Migros just across the street. Staff were friendly. Elevator larger than expected so 4 of us with luggage could get in at once. Fascade is beautiful. Rooms were spacious, bathroom spacious, modern, and clean. Has coffee capsule machine (did not use), hot kettle. At night can be dark even with all lights on. Open windows face opposite building - office? Windows have curtains to block viewing.

Also popular items of food quite frequently ran out - these were replenished after a short delay. Variety and quality of breakfast food not as good as in other Swiss hotels we visited. Coffee only available from a self service machine and was not good- I would have expected to be served a hot cup of coffee that tasted good!
