The attic room did not have a view of the Staubbach falls. The shared bathroom on the attic is pretty small, but it was clean. I felt the room was expensive given that it was in the attic with little view and a shared bathroom

We were in the attic room which was clean and cozy. The heating was quite good in the room that at some point we had to open the windows. The location of the hotel room is opposite the staubbach falls and we had amazing views from the public balconies in the hotel and also their breakfast room. Staff was very friendly and the hotel guide book has enough information for activities, food and purchases.

The room size was a little small. However they were very upfront about what was being offered. After the booking they even sent pictures to show what we have booked. So no complaints.

The constant view of the falls from the rooms, the balcony and the restaurant was amazing. Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly, courteous and helpful. Beautiful place, very close to the Staubach falls, Tal museum and the church. The restaurants and eateries are walkable. The picnic room was a good addition. Overall a wonderful stay.

My room had a balcony and it had the best view of the waterfall that is nearby. The breakfast is good with the best bread and coffee!

The beds might be a little bit better, they look like two single beds joined together. Btw we had a good night, that was not a big problem. Maybe in the future the hotel wants to renew the toilet as well.

The hotel location is amazing, and the rooms that have a balcony are quite special. The view makes you feel inside the landscape. The room size is nice and the other places in the hotel are cozy.

We really liked the helpful staff and were greeted with a welcome drink. Breakfast staff were very knowledgeable of the local area as were reception staff. Great breakfast room. We loved the communal ‘picnic room’ where we could heat meals or relax and meet other travellers. There was also tea and coffee available all day.

Amazing. Perfect, just like every year. We have vecime regulars at this hotel, we stay here every year and we love it. This is the exact view you get from the room; it is the hotel with the best views in all lf Lauterbrunnen. Staff is wonderfull!

This is just a comment: The outside of the hotel needs a little bit of a facelift. It looks a bit run down and needs some paint but this is not a deal breaker at all. The one young girl who checked us in was not very welcoming.

The view of the Staubbach waterfall from our room and balcony was fantastic!!! The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The breakfast room view and breakfast was lovely. Most of the staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. The picnic room was great to have. We used it twice when we brought our own food in.

This hotel does not have a coffee maker or kettle in the room (or a fridge). Instead, you have to go downstairs to the breakfast area to get your coffee, which is not ready until 7:30am. You also can’t get breakfast before then. There were a few mornings where our hiking plans involved catching an 8am train, which meant we had roughly 10 minutes in which to scarf down breakfast and then make a run for the train station (which is about a 10 minute walk). Neither of these are a huge deal, but it would be amazing if breakfast and coffee service began a little earlier, perhaps at 7am. The only other thing to know about this hotel is that the sink is in the main bedroom area instead of behind a closed door. Not a huge deal, but a slight annoyance when one person gets up much earlier than the other to start getting ready.

We absolutely loved this hotel! They were so incredibly friendly, and that started long before our stay when I first made our reservation. I reached out ahead of time with a question about where in town I could rent hiking poles, and they were happy to loan my husband and I each a pair for free that they had lying around. They were also super helpful with restaurant reservations, and called ahead for us to several restaurants upon our arrival in Lauterbrunnen. We booked a waterfall view room and were blessed with what had to be one of the best rooms in the hotel. We were in room 17 on the second floor, which is a corner room. That meant windows on two sides of the room and a wraparound balcony! We were able to lay in bed and see the mountains at the far end of the valley, which was absolutely amazing. The room was large, with plenty of room to move around and store our suitcases. They also provided a plug-in fan, which was fantastic for keeping us cool at night since there is no air conditioning. Lauterbrunnen is a bit of a madhouse during the day but early in the morning there is nothing better than sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise, as everything at that time is utterly peaceful.

The breakfast each morning was wonderful. The location was exceptional as well. Gave us opportunities to just walk around town after a busy day of hiking and sightseeing. Loved people watching off of our balcony. Maria in the breakfast area was super nice, and the front desk person gave us wonderful elderberry water as well!

The room got a bit warm at night, so we opened the door to cool things off. I was then attacked by a mosquito during the night that feasted on my ankles. No fault of the hotel, bring your bug spray and itch relief.

The location and views are spectacular. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and we loved having access to tea and coffee all day. The hotel is quaint with tons of character.
