It was a warm welcome. The swiss chocolates melted our hearts as they chocolates were indeed like drops from Heaven. The room was quite functional and had most of the things we required for our stay. The hotel is owned by an Indian hence it was crowded in the afternoons but evenings were pleasant. The view was nice and it was not too far from the city center.

The bus from Interlaken West was literally right across the street. So convenient to find our way around town. Would definitely stay here again. Coffee and chocolate and cookies on our floor was a nice touch

The process starts from the check-in and the automation to enter the room simply dazzles you. The room was indeed very nicely decorated and the balcony was great with the view of the clouds which were just at a level where it met with the mountains. My dream of having such views came to reality as it was just the perfect time to visit and the view from the balcony of Hotel Sonne was simply breath taking. The hotel offers coffee and snacks in the common areas and also the chocolates which they give are as smooth as silk. I never wanted to leave the room as it was the perfect combination of cozy and comfort.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hot water, coffee, biscuits n chocolates that are available at each level. Especially with the cold weather, a cup of hot tea and coffee in the early morning goes a long way. The bus stop right in front of the hotel is a very convenient 😊👍

The room door needed to be slammed in order to be closed properly. Otherwise it would trigger the alarm. This created noise nuisance at night and in the early morning to other guests.

Location was very convenient - the bus stops were just a few steps away from the entrance. Quiet at night. Comfy beds - there was an extra bed for the 3rd traveler in the room instead of just a sofa bed like other hotels. Nice view of the mountains from the balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free water, tea and coffee with biscuit and chocolate on every floor.

It wasn't totally clear that a breakfast is not included and that they only serve vegetarian food. However, they were extremely nice and offered suggestions about a nearby bakery, which were very beneficial.

Showers and other room utilities were clean and seemed to be in great condition.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Location was easy to get to and within walking distance of everything. A wonderful restaurant right across the street (La Tapberne), a grocery store one block away (Coop), and a bakery (we didn’t get a chance to try) right across the street.

Breakfasts offered are only with Vegetarian and Vegan Options, but we have a lovely bakery just across the entrance of the hotel which serves breakfasts and this is definitely equal to having breakfast in the hotel.

Hotel is well located in Interlaken. It is not too far & not in the busy streets. I stayed one night in the city centre and the noise and the people were so loud but at Hotel Sonne it is so peaceful and calm. The view was great from our room and we loved the coffee station with the nice little swiss chocolates offered. The super market and restaurants and the bus stop is so close by. The Hotel is just in the right place as we wanted it to be.

I understand that they will be closed for 2 months for some renovation/upgrading work after this October. So I guess all those imperfections will be fixed by then. 😀

Super friendly staffs! They have a bus-stop named under their hotel. Yes, you heard me right, the bus stop is named Matten, Hotel Sonne! You definitely can't miss it! Remember to ask for your Guest Card which you can take the buses within Interlaken and train to Grindelwald for free. You get some discount on the full Jungfrau Railways tickets. The bakery shop opposite the hotel is very good too!
