Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

SpainThe breakfast could have a bit more options as if you stay a couple days it can get boring. The showers are open throughout the bathroom so it can create a mess if you're not careful.
Big rooms, beautiful views, and price to quality is one of the best you can find in this area.

NetherlandsMore staff. Felt the receptionist was completely on her own and extremely busy. No coffee at breakfast as the machine mallfunctioned and there was no staff to be seen for 15 minutes.
I liked the laid back atmosphere of the hotel. A spacious room with good beds and nice balcony. Beautiful views on the mountains.

When we got there to told me it would be too small for us and offered a bigger room with two beds For 35 francs more. No thanks. They had taken a single room and put a double bed against the wall so whoever slept on the wall side had to climb over the other person to get out. Terrible. I did not sleep all night

SwitzerlandThe balcony floor was very dirty and broken glasses were on the balcony floor so I stepped on a piece of glass so that blood flowed. We were expecting to have a bottle of wine as welcome drink on the room as the price of the hotel room was a quite expensive.
The room size was good and the balcony as well, had a wonderful view over the Saanen and Gstaad. The water kettle was provided in the room so we were able to make some tea (provide by hotel) and coffee (we brought ourselves). It was nice to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view of the mountains.

United StatesHotel is good. Hotel is few miles away from train-station. Travelers staying here need to walk up and down for going to restaurants. Or other means is taxi that will cost 30 Chf on an average each way. Overpriced with few amenities such as the absence of a taxi or bus service to the closest town Sannen.
