The WiFi had very weird behavior. It would be spotty and frequently disconnect. Strangely, my computer and phone both thought I was in Zambia (I'm guessing it's the effect of a VPN of some sort). Only Google services consistently worked. Even though my room was amazing, it was located on a secondary building behind the main hotel. This was not ideal because the access was a bit complicated: from the lobby elevator to the second floor, then out across the parking lot to get to the second building, the room was at the top of a three-storied staircase. Under snowing conditions, this was not ideal. The room itself ran a tad bit too hot so I had to open windows slightly at times (so, really minor issue). Additionally, I would have loved a sofa on the bedroom. Instead, there is only a few chairs from the table outside that you can bring in. They get the job done but aren't super comfortable. Finally, I felt the overall cost was a bit too high for the value, but then again Switzerland is super expensive in general, and this area is a tourism household, so I guess it is just par for the course.

This is an amazing hotel. A two minute walk from the train station, it is perfectly located to take a cable car up to Murren, or take a train (they run really frequently!) to Wengen and beyond. The views towards the valley are immaculate, and you get a true feeling of calmness surrounded in amazing nature and cute village architecture. The lobby is clean and sleek, as is the breakfast room, which is ample and provides great views to the street and inner garden. Breakfast itself was really good and generous, and the staff service super helpful ensuring you are done before they turn off any equipment in case you arrive right before the closing hours. My room was cozy, big and comfortable, with everything you may need to have a good stay. It had a huge balcony that let me walk and observe the valley in both directions. Dawn and dusk is always fascinating as the weather changes so fast here. I would find myself glued to the views for hours on end, after a day outside exploring.

We absolutely loved the view from our 007 room! We were able to sit in the chase and watch the waterfall from our room. The food was great at the restaurant. I ate a Swiss cheese fondue, and my wife ate a potato soup. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the waterfall. And the hotel is in town close to coffee shops, etc. We appreciated that the hotel had parking available for us. You can tell they upgraded the lobby and it looks great. The staff is friendly.

The pillows were not the best. It would be nice to have a kettle to make coffee and tea in your bedroom - you can get everything from reception, but in the morning it would be good to not have to go down to grab a cup before breakfast. Also, we received too many emails from the hotel that were not necessary (about check in and check out...)

The location is amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We forgot to ask for a cot for our baby and they immediately got one in the bedroom. The onsite restaurant was also good. Breakfast was really good with several different options.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent on-site restaurant with Swiss specialties, continental dining and wood-fired oven pizzas. Breakfast was a full buffet and offered many options. The location is perfect - directly across from train station and lift to Murren as well as a walk to many hiking trails. Yet, it is quiet. One evening of my stay, the local yodeling club spontaneously decided to dress in their traditional regalia and come perform at dinner! The staff said this happens rarely, perhaps once a year, and were so excited for the guests to experience it. It was such an authentic and fun event!

We found the bed and pillows a little soft, but not too bad. A bit more variety on the restaurant menu would have been nice. We personally found the local region dishes not so much to our taste and would have preferred a few more international options. But what we had was hearty and tasty, though not top notch perhaps for the price.

Beautiful room, with a spectacular view of the waterfall. We had a "Valley View - Holz 100" room - totally worth it in my opinion! The room was clean and spacious, with all the facilities you would expect. Very good buffet breakfast available from 7:30-10:00. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location for the Wengernalpbahn - just 2 minutes away on foot.
