The room was very hot. There was a lot of noise from the stairwell and water. In particular, the sink in the room made loud noises when the water was in use on the floor above. It was challenging to sleep through this.

The location was very convenient to Brienz and the lakefront.

Old property, our room was partially renovated, however the bathroom, which is for me the most important part of a room, was old and not renovated. It’s definitely not worth the money. They have a parking space in front of the hotel, but you can’t use it, instead of that they offer you a parking card for 10 CHF/day, so you can park at public parking lot. However, if you buy a day ticket from a machine at the particular parking lot u get it cheaper, which is quite disappointing. Breakfast was very simple, no eggs (not even the boiled ones), no vegetable, only one type of pastry, basic coffee machine. The stuff at breakfast wasnt really friendly. There were a lots of meatflies. And they serve the breakfast from 8:15, so if u want to do the early morning hike its not really great. And they are not flexibile even if u ask them.

The location was exeptional, we were just in front of lake. The room was clean and part of it has a new furniture.

Breakfast is very limited and owner made us feel awkward about eating too much. The rooms feel like they are from the 70s. Toiletries provided are very limited so bring your own shampoo.

Incredible location and spacious rooms. The facilities are dated but it adds to the charm of the place. The rooms opened out to a terrace with a gorgeous view of the lake and the hotel is very close to the ferry boat stop and train to Interlaken.

Bathroom was very small and difficult to get dressed in. While the room had a skylight with views to the mountain which was amazing, there were three flights of stairs to get to the room.

Location is amazing, breakfast was great. Bathroom facilities were very small and cramped. Room was clean and had a great view of the lake and the snow capped mountains.

No Fans, ACs in the rooms. In warm weather, you need to keep the window open, but rooms facing the road can be a bit noisy

We had also 1 room that was not at the promenade and that was on the 2nd floor, extremely basic, like a youth hostel or dorm. There is no TV in none of the rooms. The breakfast is very basic and with few supplies. The restaurant has warm kitchen only for a few hours a day and closes early. There are only 2 parking spots for the hotel guests, but you get a ticket that allows you to park at any public parking lot. There are more parking lots next to the restaurants but those are kept for other purposes.

The hotel is situated right at the sea promenade with a few rooms that have an exit directly on the promenade with 2 chairs, a table and a parasol. You are separated from the promenade by a small garden. The view is amazing and the train & boat station are in walking distance (5-10 min). It is quiet and very good to relax.

It was definitely not worth what we paid with a shared tiny bathroom where you could barely move, no communal kettle and very very basic breakfast. Some of the staff were kind, but we had a few that were quite rude and dismissive. Our checkout was early and not accommodated.

Room price is a little bit high for a room with shared bathroom. There's only one shared toilet and shower cabin, it wasnt a problem for me but it could be on peak season.

Location of the hotel is perfect, my room was overlooking the lake and view from my room's window was wonderful. There's a sink in the room. Breakfast is very good, coffee is exceptional. Helpful hotel manager.

They don’t tell you that there are steps on which you have to take your luggage on booking. Breakfast is very limited. They don’t even have eggs. Indian couple who manage restaurant are very rude with stinky looks. Watevr little spread they have that also is very limited. Checkin was confusing and not smooth. No phone in room to contact reception. Flies were in room.
