The property is inside an old castle but very well furnished inside. It also comes with a terrific museum! This may have been one of my favorite stays.

The hot summer weather did make the room a bit stuffy. The only thing I would have changed would be to add a fan in the room to circulate air at night.

The castle has been very well preserved and the castle museum tour was so interesting! The hostel lodging quarters were modern and comfortable but still kept a historical ambiance. The meals (we had dinner there, as well as breakfast) were delicious and offered plenty of food. The staff were all so nice and helpful and professional.

The toilets were clean but smelled weird. To be honest, it was quite cold in the room at midnight.

As a big fan of castles, I highly recommend this hostel. You can actually live in the castle! It is a great experience to visit the castle at night! The room is in the old part of the castle, everything is clean and well-organized. The castle restaurant is really great - beautiful and good quality. The staffs are friendly. The castle itself is a museum. The way from the train station to the castle is with lots of uphills, but it was fine for light travelers like me. ;)

Just poor timing, came too late for dinner and the museum was closed the next day (monday) and so were the surrounding shops.

Very unique location, kind staff, beautiful village, stunning views if the snow. Breakfeast had a great selection and calming view. Highly recommend, unexpected unforgettable experience.

If you are planning to walk from the train station with a suitcase, then it’s going to be hard. It’s okay to walk at first, then gradually there are many cobblestones and uphill road. I wouldn’t bring a suitcase if I can choose again.

This place is beautiful and located in a cute town. The room is clean and comfortable. Staffs are super nice. Breakfast is good, sitting at the patio and take the view of Burgdorf is definitely an enjoyment.

I stayed for a night, basically I'm a princess now. It has a museum which it should be called experience instead of museum and it tells the story of the Burgdorf from the beginning till now.

The walk up to the main reception was very steep and I was dragging a luggage from the bottom all the way to the top. It was a true workout…

A little hard to reach, you need to climb the hill. So if you have luggages it's just harder.
