Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had a room facing the road and it was warm enough to need the window open. However, the traffic noise through the night was quite loud
Although a slightly austere appearance the rooms were a good size and were reasonably well appointed

United KingdomThe only downside is that Le Gietroz is next to a main road, so there is a traffic noise, it's not a problem but it is not the peaceful skiing hotel you might be expected to. This would not stop me from coming again.
Brilliant hotel to stay in 5 minute walk from the railway station and lift up to Verbier. Hotel is run by a lovely family who made our stay fun and were very accommodating for us. Rooms were clean and comfortable, atmospheric bar and the food was fantastic. Le Chable is great escape from the hustle and bustle of Verbier, sweet old village with only a few bars and restaurants. Le Gietroz is the centre of all.

United KingdomNothing really.
Great location for hiking the Haute Route. It was beside a supermarket, and a pharmacy and it was less than 10 minutes to the Gondola station for Verbier. The lady in reception was excellent, agreed to wash a big pile of smelly hiker clothes for a reasonable price, the breakfast was good, and the restaurant down stairs was excellent. Good beers and very tasty food. The room was nice, had a good little TV, beds were comfy, and bathroom was very clean.

United StatesRoad noise was loud, but expected given proximity to city center. The breakfast was limited.
Great location for hiking the Walker’s High Route from Chamonix to Zermatt—right on the trail. Also conveniently located near the cable car station. It was great to have a corner room with good airflow.

NetherlandsOur room was a bit worn down but still clean.
Really nice and professional reception and staff. Clean room. The restuarant has really good local dishes. Free parking is available nearby, we parked at P4 near the cable car. If you ask you can get a verbier VIP pass in summer this gives you free access to the cable cars to la Tourmaz, les Ruinettes, Verbier and Bruson. You can also go for free to the local swimming pool with the pass and it gives you deals on certain activities in the neighborhood. There are great views hiking and mountainbike trails nearby.

AustraliaNothing. The hotel itself is a 1-star and that’s what I got, so no complaints. The room was clean, the bed was good and the bathroom was acceptable.
The breakfast was only OK. No fresh eggs, only cold hard boiled (they could easily do fresh boiled eggs). The restaurant was very good - good service, decent menu choices, and well cooked.

United KingdomThe decor of the bedrooms is a little dated but nevertheless still has a certain charm (and for the price frankly to be expected). Would have preferred an extra pillow.
Excellent location short walk from the bubble car up to Verbier. Friendly staff, great coffee. Surprisingly spacious rooms (usually bedrooms in the mountains are small!). Breakfast - buffet style continental - is simple but good. Shower was hot & powerful. Heated boot rack for ski boots!

United Kingdomfor the price, this hotel is an excellent location if you are looking for something affordable in this ski area. It’s less than 10min walk to the ski lifts that take you all the way up to Verbier ski mountain! and they also have an excellent restaurant!

SwedenThe rooms are tidy but a little dated and worn.
The hotel is run in a very old building. It´s a little bit charming, but also worn. So don´t expect a newly renovated property with perfect standard of the rooms. Dont expect any luxury. But with that in mind - this is a perfect hotel for a visit to Verbier for skiing. The lift is accessible 300 meters away, which takes you to both Verbier and the ski system fast and smooth. The restaurant is excellent. The bar is nice with mostly locals. The staff is great and try hard to make your stay memorable. Excellent budget choice for a stay in Verbier area.

United KingdomI couldn't leave the window open because of the traffic noise but being on a main road that is to be expected and it was quiet when I closed the window. I thought the hotel was good value and I enjoyed my stay.
The receptionist was very polite and welcoming and the room comfortable. It was on the front of the hotel so a little noisy from traffic with the window open but good soundproofing when closed. The room was a good size. I had the set menu/half board for the evening meal and food was very good. The barman/waiter was attentive and entertaining. The breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. All in all good value.
