The view from our room and when having breakfast was great! The staff were always so welcoming and happy. It's in a great location to just drop down into the town via a lift or you could walk down.

There was no communication from the hotel staff before our arrival. It would have been nice from them to give us a heads up on how to get to the castle and let us know that there was access to an elevator, as well as a courtesy shuttle to pick us up from the train station. Unfortunately, we did not know that and therefore, we had to climb about 200 steps with luggage to get there. It was not a pleasant experience at all.

Staying in the tower room was a once in a lifetime experience! We had dinner at the castle’s restaurant and the food as well as the service was excellent.

I took the panoramic delux room , with a bathtub with the view to the mountains , my stay was absolutely amazing , the staff were very helpful , and kind , the hotel is so clean, the spa was for us for an entire hour , that’s amazing . I would absolutely come back to this hotel boutique 🇨🇭

Some water instead of the over-sweet soft drinks in the room would have been much appreciated.

The hotel, with its newly renovated rooms, is located in a veritable castle, overlooking Thun. The rooms by themselves are perhaps a little bit on the small side, but they are comfortably furnished, and a few (very sugary) soft-drinks were provided to us in the minibar for free. One should note that there is only a single room in the entire place which features a view; and the latter is magnificent. The spa area, which can be reserved for a private time slot, is top notch for a boutique hotel, containing a Finish sauna, a steam room, and a whirpool, all very modern and clean, with lots of glass. In the evening we tried the restaurant, which serves very solid "castle specialities" (on the heavy side) together with a few little gems (such as the home-marinated "alpine salmon"). The staff is friendly and proactive; they were eager to make our stay a nice one. A useful detail to note is that the castle museum, which gives access to the towers, is only open on Sundays. Parking is available (at a shared fee) in the public garage at the foot of the hill, with an elevator leading from there almost directly to the premises.

Cosy, clean, modern hotel room in an absolutely stunning castle. Staff were all friendly and responsive. The hotel restaurant also serves delicious cuisine. Thun is absolutely gorgeous, and you’re right in the city centre.

The spa is really nice and much better than the pictures. Very friendly staff. Pet friendly. Clean. Location is very nice and easy to get to and from the old town.

Directions to the Hotel from train station. Albeit they provide a transfer, but did not realise that until we arrived at the hotel.

room 208 was a Double aspect room with great views, very large, bath, separate shower and just worth every penny. albeit expensive. Breakfast was good, but fairly average. Staff were very helpful. Location was wonderful and the best spot in Thun.

Beautiful hotel in fantastic location, the hotel is actually inside the castle. Tip: We booked the sauna/spa and had it all to ourselves for a full hour (included in the hotel price). Parking was easy too, ask the hotel for guidance.

It is a bit complicated to enter the hotel at night and there was no door to the bathroom which was a bit odd.

The hotel is beautiful, and very unique. The halls have automatic doors and the view of the city from the windows in the breakfast room is remarkable. The room was clean and comfy with nice view of Thun from the windows.

There was no air condition. We put it on but it would never cold the room. Switzerland was experiencing a heat wave and I could not sleep well at night. Would open windows but they don’t open all the way. No fan was provided.

It is a beautiful well kept property with a lot of history. They serve an amazing breakfast and all staff are very nice.
