Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe showers in the room had barely any pressure & didn’t get more than lukewarm. The ones downstairs at the baths were perfect though.
Great views from the balcony, very clean rooms and the place was beautifully furnished. The staff was very professional. The free thermal baths on-site were also a plus.

GermanyBecause of how isolated it was, be prepared with snacks and food to avoid late night hunger. The hotel was very accommodating however and had necessary items. The breakfast was great, and had quite a variety. I was powered up and ready for a long day of hiking.
I loved how isolated it was. It was me and nature, which is was I needed.

It is so good to have the thermal pool in the hotel, very hot water from local stream. There is the hotel shuttle bus that gives free rides to the village.

SwitzerlandWe booked a "Family 2 bedroom suite" so we thought and we ended-up with 2 separate rooms side-by-side, which is fine. However, it was confusing at first. They did provide minimal kitchenette utensils just one of the room so we had to go to our daugthers' room to "cook" and eat. But that was fine also. We saw some people with slippers, but we were not provided, so perhaps we had to ask etc. So overall it's good, but just a bit confusing.
Breakfast was great! It has an old charm to the place... We didn't mind the dogs/pets noises etc.

Francesometimes it all comes to attention to detail : no kettle in the kitchen (but I could get one from the main desk) or chairs with a table in the terrace. I booked the time for a sauna, but no one ever came to open the door for me to access it. … so I shifted to the swimming pool and jacuzzi (which I had then all by myself :-) ) otherwise, as I spent my 31st December there, I was notified that an apéro was offered at 18h30 … which was a glass of wine, so that you were directly lead to the dinner table , where the service was rushed (the set menu came to me in random order as the server was so motivated to rush it to the next step !) . the aim was obviously to get the dinner over as soon as possible for all guests. Not a very festive feeling …
The transfer from the train station was nice : ponctual and welcoming !! The room and terrace were big and had a mini kitchen. The view was fantastic ! The massage therapist was super good and the swimming pool facilities were pleasant and with a nice view , no need to go to the crowded public thermal centres. There is a pleasant walking path to the village, and you are there in 15mn. Otherwise there are other walking paths accessible from the hotel

SwitzerlandThey do need to change their Bedsheets and Towels with new ones.. these were worn out with yellow spots on it. Everything seems really old, also the pools, like if they havent been changing or renovating stuff since the 1990s. The prices are ok but then you have to pay for everything, at the end you pay ca. 170-180 chf/person, with the same price you get a 4-stars-Hotel somewhere else.. The Sauna has no alarm.. if you are alone inside and something happens, you die and nobody knows.
Cool location, from which you can enjoy an excellent view of the Mountains. The personal is nice but they dont make any effort, they give you a piece of paper where you can read everything by yourself and they dont even tell you the most important things. Years of travelling and I never saw this happening..

FranceIt is to know that the pool (free for people staying) is closed on Wednesday (the day we were there), and we weren’t warned while making the reservation. And everything is EXTRA charge, the spa and sauna cost, the pool game and other as well, the parking is also extra, there is a city tax to pay, and so on…
The staff is really nice and welcoming. The rooms are big and clean, very comfortable, and the breakfast had a lot of choice and variety !

Switzerlandit’s a mix between hotel Transylvania and an Eastern European hotel during the cold war. everything is outdated, rusty and worn. breakfast is simple but if you decide to book the half board option you will find that some dinner courses might actually be leftover items from breakfast, like “a glass of juice” or “fruit salad”. the pool is something else you need to see for yourself. if it’s not the murky unfiltered water straight from the source that scares you off, it might be the sterile atmosphere of a butcher shop or the rust stains on the ceiling. overall, if you are into murder mysteries, this might be the place for you as I am almost certain, this place has been the scene for the odd unsolved disappearances. but don’t trust the pictures. some very skilled photographer took these and probably dedicated half a day to edit and enhance every single one.
The hotel has internet. that’s an information families with teenagers find crucial. the staff is oblivious to the fact they work in a ghost hotel from another era and are actually quite chirpy and nice. everything else is pretty terrible.

SwitzerlandWhile the restaurant staff is very welcoming, the front staff expiernce could be improved since a bit distant. The cleaning service should be done more often - our towels were not changed in 3 days...
This is a charming hotel located at the top of the village -15’ walk to city center (main entertaining area for kids). There was no shuttle transfer during our stay, therefore the return with a small child was a bit sporty 😊 The rooms are very large, clean, warm, and quiet, having a great sunny terrace overlooking the valley. The bed is two mattresses, but they found a solution to top this as one. The restaurant area is nice - with huge windows, elegant chandeliers, a fireplace, and candles – all to ensure a pleasant moment. Good breakfast (and dinner), welcoming staff and quick service. We truly enjoyed the thermal pool with natural spring water – so lovely and so convenient. I highly appreciated the presence of the lady landlord and the natural flowers into the vases – while snowing outside. I found this rare and authentic. All in all, this was a very nice, relaxing, and surprising experience! Though I’m a demanding customer, I found nothing to complain, and I consider this hotel is unfairly (under) rated. I acknowledge there are aspects to be improved and people might have high expectations. Yet, in my opinion, considering the room size, views, and the in house thermal pool - this hotel is above the standards of a 3 stars in Swiss.

United Kingdomwell, let’s start with the check in process . I am still argue with them . we arrived there and we checked in at 11:40 and they tried to said that we done check in earlier at 10:00 but I have sent them a picture with Google maps timeline to demonstrate they are not right . then when we checked in not information about breakfast, parking fees , hidden taxes , swimming pool, what floor are the rooms located, about the village , nothing . by law they are required to look at vaccin and pcr and they didn’t even look only to mine one , they are not compliant with the law . when u check in you should be provided with all the informations as is like you are coming to my house and I will show and explain everything you need to know as I never been before in that place to be aware of everything. at the check out , I got a message from them with an open bill for parking and tax. is not first time when I travel , and I have been travelling around the world more than the receptionist has travelled ever ! if there is a tax the hotel will ask u you to pay when u checked in. most of the rooms they have the tax included in the price. surprise , after I checkered out, I left the place, I gave them the keys IN HAND, I said good bye and thank you , they said I have an open bill ( around 90£ amount which is much for 3 days) to pay for car ,and that his dentist tax which I wasn’t aware of at the beginning! secondly, the blanket’s we re short , not enough to cover yourself . even if it has a kitchenette they don’t provide only 2 glassed, not even a plate or forks or any ustensils. the receptionist said to me twice to put the mask on even if I had something around my neck but she wasn’t wear the mask at all! don’t tell me something,as I should be an exemple for everyone as you represent image of the hotel. front desk is the main part of a co ordinate hotel . then was also another discussions about a meal.
rooms we re warm enough
