Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOur only complaint was that our pillows were too soft as they had no substance to them.
We liked the quirkiness of the decor. The breakfasts were ok - that is, what we would expect in mainland Europe. The location was a little way out of town but the transport was excellent, especially with the bus stop across the road and the use of the free Transport cards. Restaurants were available near the hotel.

KazakhstanNo kettle in the room. However, there is one water boiler available 24/7. Unfortunately, we didn't notice it at once, so we went to the shop to get some tea/coffee. At the reception they didn't inform us about this option. The hotel is 2 or 3 stars by Radisson, but they couldn't provide us an umbrellas for renting which was a pity. Smaller hotels in smaller cities were able to provide it.
Hotel is big, room's size was also good. Location is ok, bus stop just right besides the hotel and it takes just 7 min to get to the city centre.

GermanyThe price remains expensive for the service provided. No little welcome package in the room. This could be a sparkling water bootle, tea bags, piece of chocolate. Hot water provided in the entrance but no tee bags or coffee. The soap provided is quite aggressive (perfumed and certainly not pH neutral). The staff could not advice any hiking routes. Hopefully komoot could provide.
Modern hotel with standard equipment. The room was clean. Great location and a great view from the top floor.

IndiaBeds are not comfy. Misty smell in the corridor. No telephone in the room so no room service. No coffee machine inside the room. You have to go to reception to ask for anything like fresh pair of towels, tissue rolls, coffee etc. Even the room cleaning happens once in 3 days only so you have to throw your garbage accumulated for 3 days downstairs in the garbage bin next to the reception. If the hotel can provide these basic services like rest of them, I would give them a 5 star.
Excellent location (right on the bus stand and next to big supermarket), very friendly staff (Denise and Martin were super helpful), cleanliness.

SwedenA bit expensive compared to average cost per night in this trip. One receptionist upon check-în asked me to wait in the lobby for 5 minutes and then did not reappear even in half an hour passed.
The location with the beautiful downhill walk to the city center and the closeness to the bus-connection to the railway station. A lot of space in the rooms.

SwitzerlandThe hotel could do with a bit of a "face lifting". The carpets in the halls are quite worn out. The shower head in our room was difficult to use (too loosely fitted). But, those are the details. The stay was comfortable all in all.
Great location, near Rosengarten (offering an amazing panoramic view of Bern) close to the city center, a 10 min ride on a bus No 10 to the center. A decent size room. Avarage, quite basic breakfast, with limited choices. Good coffee though. Great views from a rooftop bar 😊
