Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNice room, excellent restaurant in the hotel next door. Nice bedding and very soft towels. Clean. The only thing was the bell in the town rings every 15 minutes all day AND all night. So if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. This isn't specific to this hotel but the town. Our stay was great even if sleep was disrupted.

AustraliaCouldn't leave balcony doors open due to constant through traffic (even though a sleepy town). This meant the balcony couldn't be enjoyed. Small bathroom. European pillows are all too soft and collapse but these collapsed the worst. No coffee pods - host was happy to reimburse if we bought some. No washing machine detergent
Good sized room. Balcony with lovely mountain views. Coffee machine. About 7mins walk from train station (note, a bit steep on the way back). Denner supermarket right next door. We chose Sedrun because this hotel was good value. Sedrun is a small sleepy town surrounded by beautiful mountains and flowers.

Ukraine1. The Wi-Fi was a disaster. Mobile internet was 20 times faster. 2. I missed the microwave and/or other amenities. A kitchen zone would be beneficial considering there is no breakfast/no restaurant downstairs. 3 coffee capsules for 3 nights & 2 people. (do the calculations or remove them completely). No coffee cream was offered (even though it would cost nothing). So impossible to even have a proper coffee for breakfast. 3. No mini-fridge. 4. No cleaning without an additional fee. Don't get me wrong: I don't need my bedsheets to be changed daily... But another trashbag for a 3-night stay would be nice. Otherwise, I would need to buy a full pack of local trash bags. 5. Weird check-in & check-out times. Check-in is only after 16:00 (typically, it is 14:00 or 15:00). Check-out before 10:00 (again, typically it is 11:00 or even 12:00). That said, it is a weird mix On a side note (not a big minus since I didn't even expect it): The projector in the room was weirdly installed, I have spent a good hour setting it up only to find out I still cannot properly share the screen.
1. Clean room/bathroom 2. Relatively adequate price (for the area) during the season 3. Swift communication with the manager. 4. Hot water was always available and good water pressure. 5. Warm.

ItalyMissing few items, like sugar, teaspoon, bottle opener. It is a self-check-in hotel, just opened.
Loves the location in a small Swiss town. The time of the year allowed to see the magic of snow, as well as gorgeous sceneries. The room was cozy, clean offering beautiful views of the town and mountains around. A small supermarket just across from the hotel entrance. Lukas the host was very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomNo flat screen TV (as is stated) just a projector. Extremely noisy, we scarcely slept, the hotel is right beside the main road. No air conditioning, you have window & door open, so you are much more affected by the traffic noise. Bed linen also had a strange smell. We got up very early and were happy to leave. My bed was ok, my partner's bed was very creaky.
Large room. Very basic, but clean. Quick response to our email from owner. No more to add..

United States of AmericaRoom two has adjoining door to room one. The door did not block any noise. It was like being in the same room with the strangers on the other side of the door. Not very restful at all, as the other tenants were very active

United KingdomThe room was superb, and the staff was amazing. Lukas was very friendly, professional and accommodating. The initial incident, all my fault, as I arrived too early, was dealt with in a professional and calm manner. To avoid my mistakes, pls. read the instructions send to you via email! :) The room is a good size, has a double bed and small table with coffee machine, kettle and cutlery set. There is no TV, but a projector, which works fine after dark. There is no fridge, so you either eat out or rely on fruits and sweets :). The bathroom was super clean and comfy. There is a ski equipment storage in the basement, accessible via stairs from the lobby. The location is good - 7 min walk to the Sedrun ski lifts and the train station. Sedrun is a quiet village, good if you want to stay away from the crowd and have some quiet time, but there are still restaurants and shops next doors. An excellent ski rental service is just 3 min from the place. There are ski lifts in Sedrun, but I prefered to take a train and start from Dieni. There are also winter hiking trails, if you want to explore the area by foot - I did the A. Talrunde Sedrun - Rueras, highly reccommed

United KingdomThe hotel is located in a building where the ground floor restaurant has closed permanently and reception is not manned. As such, when we first arrived, it felt a bit abandoned. Things didn't improve as we got in and found the place relatively dated in decor, furniture was quite old but it wouldn't have been so bad had the mattress been better. Also, it didn't help that the room was not fully made when we arrived and had to call to get the manager to bring sheets for the bedding. He was very fast and nice about it but it all added to the feeling that the place had seen much better days.
It is quite cheap and was one of the very few places still available when we needed accommodation for extra nights last minute. The location is very good, too.

NetherlandsMany of the services advertised were lacking: no 24h reception, no secure left-luggage, no personal check-in, we booked a room with a balcony but got one without a balcony.

SwitzerlandWhen I booked, it was written that the hotel had a restaurant. Then I received a message less than one day before our arrival, saying that the restaurant was closed and no one would be there at the reception. But that was not the main problem. The room smelled (quite strongly) of cigarettes and it was in fact a communicating room, with only a closed door dividing the "2" rooms. The family in the "other" room was very noisy (and we heard every single word they said from our room) and there was a little baby who woke up and cried at least 4 times during the night... We left the hotel one day in advance. Terrible experience.
The parking space and the location.
