Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe hotel is in a good location and offers a clean, comfortable stay for exploring the Jungfraujoch region from Interlaken. The availability of free parking was a nice bonus for us. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was also quite good —featuring fresh farm jam, butter, and cheese, along with the option to have your eggs cooked to order.

AustraliaGreat location but way too expensive for what it’s worth, but I guess that’s just Swiss prices. Tiny bathroom that you couldn’t swing a cat in, the shower leaked over the floor, there’s a glowing fire escape sign that shines bright through the night and its right opposite the bed so can disrupt your sleep, it also just points to the window so not quite sure of its usefulness. Not sure if I’d visit again, you get similar views in New Zealand and it’s half the price.
Staff were helpful and friendly and let me check in late. Breakfast was a decent continental of bread, ham, cheese, eggs and cereal etc.

IrelandThe ladies in the dining room could take a few lessons from the receptionist, not once were we offered eggs for breakfast even though others were.. Never a smile or good morning, just asked our room number, end of conversation.
What a great welcome, unfortunately I didn't manage to get the name of the receptionist but she was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Interlaken West train station and within walking distance of all the great restaurants Interlaken has to offer. You can walk to Interlaken Ost station in c.10 minutes and from there you can take trains up to the mountains. Fantastic views from the rooms at the front of the hotel. Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room. Very nice lady on reception also helped me with the washing machine. You can pay 6 francs to wash your clothes and 6 francs to dry them and there is also an iron and ironing board available. We were given a key to enter the hotel after reception closed.

The staff was so friendly! She helped me figure out the washing and was such a hard worker! The room was generous size and clean. It was an easy walk from the train station. The breakfast was great and they even cooked eggs to order.
