Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis is not the fault of the hotel but a patron from a bar was sick in front of our window on the street at 2:30am and woke us up with loud talking and throwing up (since we had the windows open).
Everything is brand new and very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was the best that we had in Switzerland. It consisted of breads, juice, fruit cups, cheese, deli meats, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. You check in at the Pizza restaurant right next to the lodge, this was easy and the staff was very friendly. You do need to park in a garage a block away in a parking garage behind the Coop grocery store (See Pictures), but there is no cost to you, the Pizza restaurant will stamp your parking ticket. This was no problem at all, we pulled up directly in front of our room and unloaded our luggage and parked the car in the parking garage. We even arrived early and were able to drop our luggage off in the room which was helpful. The views are amazing from the room and there is a town square right outside the window with a church (bells ringing of course like everywhere else in Switzerland), restaurants and mountain views. We enjoyed walking around the small town and find a nice take away restaurant down the road. Like most places in Switzerland, the room has no AC, so you have to leave the windows open. We brought small USB fans which I highly recommend if you travel to Switzerland in the summer. I discovered in the morning that there are electronic controls for the blinds over the windows and doors.

United StatesFor being in the center of town, it was very difficult to find. There is no signage on the building indicating you’re at the correct location, the property is under construction and the construction worker luckily was able to tell us to go to the pizza place next door to check in. Some advance notice would have been helpful. Also, the upstairs loft was incredibly hot with no windows or airflow, neither of us were able to sleep up there.
Gorgeous suite, loved the subtle touches like backlighting behind the bed and in the bathroom. Everything felt very new and clean.

United StatesThe property was not easy to find. The address took us to the restaurant across the street. A sign on the building for Mountain Lodge would be helpful in the future.
The rooms were beautiful and clean. The host was kind and breakfast was wonderful.

Switzerlandpatrons of the bar nearby were quite noisy until later hours of the evening. This was mostly solved by shutting all the shutters curtains and blinds.
The hotel kindly accommodated an early breakfast for our early start (due to ski race commitment)

SwitzerlandThis is really not the fault of the owners so this does not affect my rating - there is a bar across the street from the hotel that closes at midnight. Probably amazing if you plan on enjoying nightlife, however as parents with a baby it was a little less good. It is really only a minor issue though and as I said, no one's fault.
The hotel is very modern and well-made. Beautiful design and big rooms. It's super central and the staff is great. I'd like to especially compliment the cleaning staff, the room was spotless every time she came by.

United StatesThis building is still actively under construction. Workers arrived before 7am and, considering our room was directly above the construction, it sounded like we were in the same room as the buzz saw, hammer, men, etc. To re-enter our room after breakfast, we had to get the attention of a construction worker actively sawing through bits of the path to our room. He looked annoyed to stop his work and we had to walk through a haze of construction dust to re-enter. Also, it's not the hotel's fault, but the nearby church bells rang for a full six minutes around 7:30am (they also ring every 15 minutes from ~7a to ~10p, so I at least appreciated they didn't ring overnight. Additional suggestions for improvements to the room: - There was no lock on the door (it auto-locked, but anyone with a key card could have entered from the outside). Generally, I felt safe, but I expect to lock a door from the inside. - There are very thin curtains. In addition to not blocking any light, the curtains do very little for privacy and this room has a lot of windows that are easily viewable from the courtyard below. - Consider adding chairs on the balcony so guests can enjoy the incredible view.
The room itself was recently renovated. Loved the modern aesthetic, recessed lighting, generous shower, etc. The view of the Alps out the window is incredible.

United StatesThe parking says free but the staff couldn't explain where to park. We ended up parking in the grocery store parking lot a couple hundred yards away. Also, they were having construction in the same building we were staying at from about 9 am till 6 pm. When we complained and asked for a refund or reduction because we weren't aware. We were told that the price was already reduced and there would be no reduction. However, they did offer us free pizza for dinner both days. We were ok and happy till check out, we went to breakfast we advised that we were out of the room. The lady said they needed the key. i said the key is in the room. The lady gave me the pass key and told me to go get the key! I went back to the room. Understand that we are already packed and loaded and trying to get on the road. I got the key and took it to the lady. She came running out to our car and said they gave us two keys. I said i have no idea where the second key is, probably already packed by mistake. She pressed me, and i said bill me if you want. Maybe i don't understand, but it was an electronic card key. But it did leave a sour taste in our minds. I would have thought that since the key had the name of lodge on it, they would you to take it for memories. Again, ifvim out of line, i apologize. But we had a long drive, and the key issue delayed us almost 45 minutes.
The room and location were beautiful and very new and super clean and comfortable very modern. All in all, we liked our stay breakfast was very good and food at restaurant was goid. The shower was outstanding.
