Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandJust be aware that even though the hotel is right at the station, the train comes about once every hour and the last train is around 19:00. So your only option in the evening is the hotel's restaurant (which is great!) if you don't have a car.
It is a modern, comfortable place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would also recommend the restaurant, the food is amazing.

Switzerlandwe like the nature around Al Vadret: glacier mortaratsch. We also like that the cross country "loipe" are just there. The terrace of the restaurant in the afternoon is great. The food choice in the restaurant is also nice.

United StatesI wish Bernina Express train could stop at Morteratsch station. We ended up having to take a regional train to go back to Morteratsch station, which is inconvenient.
Breakfast in the beautiful cafe is wonderful - love the varieties to choose from, and wooden tables and walls, and beautiful flowers outside of the window, and friendly staff. This hotel sits in a beautiful natural setting.

GermanyCute hotel along the hiking/biking/skiing paths in a gorgeous location, and right at a train station! Free parking was also available. Comfortable bunkbeds. Very good shower. Breakfast was great, and it was included. A short drive from St Moritz. Even if you don't eat dinner at the hotel, be sure to get some torte, we tried 3 of the 5 and all were excellent!

SwitzerlandThe rooms were in another building, to go to breakfast or restaurant for dinner you need to walk outside. The was no elevator.
Location is amazing, with Glacier, mountains, river and forests views. Windows are very good at soundproofing - passing trains and river noise was not heard inside. The rooms are comfortable and bathrooms are modern which is quite rare find. It's family friendly with fun playground and even little goats to entertain kids. We even spotted some squirrels! Hotel also has a nice restaurant with tasty food options, seasonal dishes and the breakfast was nice too with local/regional fresh products. We enjoyed the stay and would gladly return.

SwitzerlandThe bedroom with the bunk beds were neat and clean but extremely basic. If you rely on public transport, your choices for dinner are limited - on the day we arrived, the hotel restaurant offered only Buffett-style dinner, no à-la-carte. Whilst transparently communicated, a 10am-checkout seems very early on all accounts.
Great location right at the Morteratsch train station. Perfect to explore the stunning surroundings. Booked the family room with two bunk beds and an attached large, very clean shower. Breakfast, particularly if you enjoy your breads, was fantastic and the waiting staff very friendly and attentive!

SwitzerlandI stayed in The Annex about 50m from the main hotel, meaning a short walk outside for meals, not unlike many budget hotels in the UK. The wash basin in the bedroom was very shallow and the plug did not function, or the control for it was not obvious. It also sloshed water onto the floor rather too easily due to its sloping front design. It might have looked arty, but it wasn't very functional. The shower however was excellent and the toilet was not squashed into a corner but had its own space with a great view of the trees on the opposite hillside reflected in the mirror over the washbasin opposite - very restful. The trains are not noisy, but the constant roar of the white water river might disturb light sleepers - and sadly it was lit up at night with gaudy coloured lighting like the American side of Niagara . If the room rates had been lower I would have stayed for more days as there was so much to see and do.
The evening meals were absolutely first class. They were delicious, the melon and smoked salmon gazpacho was simply amazing, and the Lamm Haxe (leg of lamb) just melted in your mouth. Breakfast was very good - they even had a full loaf of Gluten Free bread which was unique. Most places only provide pre-baked packet bread they either microwave or put in the oven and you are lucky if it doesn't fall apart. Not enough staff available at breakfast though, and the two rooms available were just far too hot - but it was a heat wave. The muesli was ready made which was very good, but it was rather thin and with too many raisins and not enough oats - it was far from having a thick consistency close to the original recipe invented by Dr Bircher. there was a range of five cold meats that was not allowed to become low, and a similar number of cheeses - but no descriptions or names of the cheeses there, but one of them was gorgeous. It was good to have no TV in the room. All the staff were friendly, helpful, diligent and made me feel welcome and looked after. If you stay 2 nights or more you get a free pass for public transport in the area, including cable cars, trains, buses.
