Breakfast could have included a few more options. Disappointed that my room was not ready upon arriving at 3pm. But only minor issues!

Location of this hotel was great, everything was clean and tidy too! Some staff struggled with English but my very basic German saw us through! Room was simple but just what I needed as a base for exploring the surrounding areas.

I had booked also Dinner but you should mention that the drinks are not included in the bill. This is not the fault of the hotel but yours (Booking.com)!!!

We had a good breakfast with fresh croissant from the bakery and not frozen as well as fresh fruits. The staff was very helpful, always there for you if you need anything. The location was very good: 3 minutes on foot from the railway station and plenty of chemist, shops, restaurants around you. As well, as being able to stroll by the lake which was very nice despite the hot weather.

More clear directions to the free hotel parking. As staff spoke no English, maybe a little map or a bigger sign in the car park which was more obvious in the dark?

A beautiful location in Sarnen which is a very pretty town. Ideal for a pre dinner stroll. Friendly staff and although we arrived quite late chef stayed to make us a meal. Breakfast was great with a good selection. An upgrade to the panoramic suite was very welcome after a long drive. The hotel is a very calm and peaceful place to stay even though it is in the centre of town.

Family room with 2 good beds and a less comfortable sofa bed. Traffic noise from the street. I would appreciate a smaller fridge in the room.

The sad state of the Australian Dollar made it an expensive stay but still worth every cent.

This was the last leg of our week of Swiss Travel Pass train trips specifically to visit the Kloster Sarnen. After six days of crowded tourist destinations, Sarnen was a welcomed place to rest and recuperate. Hotel Metzgern was a genuine oasis. Close to the Train Station, extremely friendly staff, excellent restaurant and food and by far the nicest place we stayed on our journey. The bathroom and spa bath in the Panorama Suite has to be seen to be believed. LED lighting in the tiles made for such a romantic and relaxing atmosphere to wash away the travel aches and pains. As far as accommodation is concerned this was the highlight of our trip.

Staff were very welcoming. Room was exceptionally clean, we really enjoyed our stay. Sarnen is a beautiful town.

Hotel facilities were non-existent. There is no telephone service in the room. No facial tissues, no iron, and no locker in the room. There were no slippers in the room. Bed linen were not changed even once in the room in 6 days stay. Food was not allowed in the room, and it was really difficult with small kids. There was no variety in the breakfast available and the same breakfast for 6 consecutive days. Very noisy surroundings at night, particularly.

The hotel is closed to the street and lots of cars. It's so noisy all day, even in the midnight. The room is to hot. I open all the windows but in vain. Too noisy and warm to stay. Bad experience.

This Apartments-Hotel is absolutely incredible, It was lots above the average when it comes to facilities. really recommend if you need to spend a night in Sarnen I׳d definitely come back when be there again

Beautiful place, great location and room was awesome! It was junior suite. Breakfast was good, I asked for eggs and it made my meal great again :) we were there for one night. There was also parking available for free.

One of the worst experiences ever! I was waiting in the reception for almost an hour to get someone to talk too, then one guy came from the kitchen with wet hands and said the hotel is full and no available rooms then he just left!
