We are really good sleepers but the room was extremely noisy from the kitchen/restaurant. If we had booked more than one night, we would have requested another room. The bed was uncomfortable, it really needs a new mattress. The bedding had too strong laundry detergent smell.

The hotel has a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and big enough for a one night stay. We loved the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The breakfast was local and fresh but the selection could be better.

Gruyeres is tiny so everything is central :-) nice hotel, friendly staff, ok breakfast. Good bed and shower.

Warm & cosy (even fire on the fire place), with excellent food and friendly staff... this place exceeded our expectations and became one of the highlights of the trip. The hotel is beautiful. The bedroom was spacious and the beds were super comfortable! The location is just magical, it even snowed, and the staff was super friendly. The breakfast is very versatile too. There is a shared room with a fireplace and free tea and coffee which is a delight. A great environment to unwind.

I recently had the pleasure of a 3-night stay at this delightful hotel in Gruyères, and it exceeded all expectations. Upon my late arrival, Emilie warmly welcomed me, making me feel instantly at home. She graciously provided a tour of the hotel, introducing me to the charming resident cat, "Peluche." The room, spacious and tastefully decorated, boasted a generously comfortable double bed. The bathroom featured herbal and plant-based toiletries, adding a lovely touch. The common area with an open fire provided a cozy retreat in the evenings, and the complimentary 24/7 coffee machine was a thoughtful perk. Transforming into a breakfast haven in the morning, it offered a diverse spread, including a delicious homemade cake. Guillaume's swift and diligent service during a necessary room change on the second night showcased the staff's commitment to guest satisfaction. The second room, with its stunning mountain views, mirrored the comfort of the first. Guillaume's recommendations for nearby skiing options for children were greatly appreciated. The culinary experience, highlighted by a delightful dinner featuring cheese fondue and white wine, was exceptional. The entire staff consistently exhibited kindness and a willingness to assist, enhancing the overall hospitality. I eagerly anticipate a return visit in 2024 and extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team for crafting a truly memorable stay.

For the love of esthetics, please change the shower curtain. It's moldy, falls apart and doesn't make you want to get into the bath at all. Come on guys, a small investment can improve the impression massively!

Very friendly staff, good restaurant with authentic cuisine. As a fan of historic features and furniture, I found the room quite elegant with a French corbeille bed. The building itself is from 1653 and chas a lot of charm.

More electrical outlets but seeing that it is over 300 years old can't really fault the property. Luggage to car situation is a little rough. You can drive to the front of the hotel but we didn't find that out until we were checking out.

The view from our room was spectacular. We laid in bed and stared at the alps in all their glory. Cute bathroom with all needed amenities. Very clean and cozy. This place is in amazing shape for how old it is (300 years plus). The outside property was so nice. We found interesting things at every turn. Views of the castle from every angle. The area at the top of the hill would be perfect for a wedding. Staff was warm and helpful and the food was really good. Loved their was a lift as I had ALOT of luggage.

Old style bath tub that can be a hazard that you may tripped and fall. There wasn’t any sign’ posted that warned customer that the floor is wet. I slipped on the wet floor and did a leg split. Not a comfortable situation.

Bathroom could do with updating, a simple update to the shower head location so it can be used as a full body shower vs. hand shower would be a great improvement.

Great views from our room facing the mountains with the most comfortable sleep of our vacation. My husband hasn't stopped talking about the great pillow! Lovely, cosy decor in a good sized room offering a great location & yummy breakfast in the morning.
