It was very hot and the fan in our room was completely inadequate. The fridge wasn't working properly. There was a kitchenette but next no kitchen supplies.

The view from the room was stunning, the staff was very kind, and the breakfast croissants were memorably delicious! We would happily return to La Barca Blu when we return to Locarno.

The hotel doesn't have a lift an it is very difficult when you are travelling with a person that struggles with stairs.

- No bidet. - We couldn’t open the door leading to the terrace.

- The staff was amazing, very helpful and smiling. - We loved the location, high above the city with breathtaking views and some attractions nearby. - We stayed for one night during a very hot day but at night the room became cooler with fresh air from the terrace and a fan was enough. We slept very well. - The shower is tiny but with very good water pressure. - Decent room size. Even a small kitchen but we didn’t use it. - Breakfast was ok.

all good "apart" from not being able to use the kitchen without a 50 CHF on costs, no cutlery not even a spoon, no elevator was not comfortable and we are still in a good age to carry older people will suffer Not sure if this is mentioned naywhere as most people will take this for granted Not a dislike but worth mentioning No air conditioning after a sunny day the room was becoming very very warm. Parking lot only upon reservation I might have missed this whilst booking i ahve to admit

The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, and always smiling. The room is functional and very clean. The espresso machine and water kettle are a very nice thing to have in the room! Thanks. The parking place was reserved and the items for the dog were in the room. Excellent service!!!!

Stunning location. Loved getting the funicular. Beautiful views from balcony. Breakfast OK but not brilliant if don't have a sweet tooth. Bed was super comfy.

The room smells too strong from cleaning or disinfection. There were no elevator which can be hard for elderly or if you have big luggages.

That they have this option for budget stay. We were able to bring our luggage earlier and also check in earlier. Nich good breakfast with a view.

The Hotel was better than we expected. I need to note, the hotel is not in the center, (We prefer a quite area) but it is easy accessible with car, bus or trolley. The room was clean and had a small kitchen with the basic equipment. Breakfast was also good, we ate on the breakfast room Balcony, which also had a nice view.

The area being a mixture of hotels and private residences, has close to nothing else. There's no supermarket anywhere near and the few bars and restaurants all close a 9pm. This is the downside of the peaceful neighborhood.

From the 3rd floor of the hotel, I had an amazing panoramic view of the lake and of the surrounding mountains. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very nice and helpful. And they have good wifi too.
