Breakfast choices were basic, but that would be a minor point.

Great hotel central to the Old Town. Our room was spacious & very clean. Lovely personal touches like a personalised greeting card with useful information. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in Thun.

I loved everything!

This lovely hotel sits on the Rathausplatz and has a section that faces the Aare River. It is just lovely. It sits within the Old Town area of Thun and has all of the charm that offers. The staff could not have been more gracious and professional. We stayed 3 nights and I would have loved to have stayed longer. Connections to local buses and trains are within a very easy walk. We loved the coffee/tea/fruit station provided on our floor and the air conditioning was fabulous for our warm August stay. Even our basic room was very comfortable. Though Thun is about an hour from Interlaken, so kind of far from mountain excursions that are even farther, it is a treasure of a place that should not be missed! Thun and Hotel Krone Thun won top awards from our trip!

The hotel and staff were excellent! The rooms were clean. They had coffee and tea available on each floor along with a bowl of fruit for all to enjoy, and juice on the first floor. Nice touch. The location was great! I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay at the Krone.

The location of Hotel Krone was excellent. The bed was comfortable & the room was larger than expected. The water pressure in the shower was very nice too. The breakfast had many items to choose from. We also appreciated the free welcome drinks at the bar across the street.

Everything was nice

We used Thun as a base city to hit surrounding area’s. Staff was very nice, location was right next to a small plaza with a local pub right across the street. It was still quiet at night.

Air conditioning was excellent and we had a lovely room with the river view. Recommend the upgrade as the economy rooms are quite small. Great little coffee bar on the second floor, excellent location and affiliated restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.

The only negative was it would be nice to have shampoo + conditioner instead of generic wash-everything soap in the bathroom. For a 4 star hotel I expect this. But it's not a huge detractor!

Fantastic location in the middle of Thun. Staff were very kind and cheery. They let us park our motorbike in the basement which was very much appreciated. Room was really big and comfy, and also very clean. Breakfast was nice with plenty of variety. The football was on one night we stayed but our room was facing the other side of the building from the square so it wasn't loud at all. Air con in the room! Very useful! You get given public transport passes for your stay with discounts on local attractions, and also a drink at the cocktail bar opposite. Great value for money for Switzerland. Thun is a beautiful little town with a great dining scene - Recommend Parada 30 for excellent Mexican food and the Ribs restaurant for a hearty meal.
