Even though I liked the whole property, we got a rude shock when we first arrived as the owner possibly had some miscommunication with their cleaner, as the property was not cleaned when we first arrived. Used bedsheets, towels, trash not thrown away from the previous tenant, and toilets were not cleaned. It is understandable that things like this happens.. but it was not a good first impression for first time guests that arrived at the property for the first time. The owners were also pretty responsive and acted fast when they found out that the property was not cleaned and came down personally to clean up the property.

This place is as advertised! Our bedroom faced the waterfall and mountains and its and absolutely spectacular view! Loved the whole house as it was accessible and super convenient to travel from the main Lauterbrunnen train station! It’s so straightforward that you will not be able to get lost!

Great experience! 2 minutes walking distance from the bus stop, 10-15 minutes walk to the Lauterbrunnen train station if you don’t want to take the bus. They have fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. You could woke up with a view of waterfall just outside the window. The wifi also working really well. The host also very informative and helpful.

Slight walk from town, our mistake for walking with 30KGS of luggage

It was just below the waterfall, picturesque views. Was safe and clean, we are travelling for close to 2 months and this was our favourite. Big bonus for the washer dryer!

The apartment was amazing! We had a perfect view of the falls from our bedroom window. The location is a reasonable walk or short bus ride from the train station. We had all the amenities we needed to cook our own meals (and the town Coop) has a great selection if you’re looking to save some money on dinners. We stayed in January and our 1st floor apartment was plenty toasty. The hosts also provided some interlaken regional guest passes and plenty of local info.

It was cold during winter. Need to put on more layers. Also, conserve hot water so that you can take a hot shower at night.

Location is just gorgeous with Staubbauch Falls visible from the windows. Kitchen facilities are top-notched with everything you could possibly need. There’s also a washer and a dryer, and a drying rack.

There was some confusion about running out of hot water on our first night. Never understood the problem but it was no problem for the rest of the stay. Some written instructions/comments might be helpful to future guests. The apartment was a bit hard to keep cool without opening the windows. It always seemed warm to us, but that could be just our personal preference. These are just comments for improvement, we loved staying here for 5 nights and will return if we are ever in the same area again!

Great location. Beautiful views and easy access to the bus stop. Nice and well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. Appreciated having some laundry and dishwasher detergent. Nice covered patio area.
