The pillows were wayyy too soft

Views were absolutely incredible, kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean and nice, spacious and beautiful interior.

It was such a cozy little place perfect for me and my husband. We had the beautiful view of the mountains, super quiet and exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was equip with everything that we needed to prepare our meals.

I have nothing bad to say about these accommodations. The chalet and hotel were everything we expected, and the staff was really accommodating. I only wish we knew about the sauna and steam room sooner than the last day.

The chalet we rented was great and exactly what we needed. It was walking distance to the middle of town and to the bus and train stations. The shuttle service was great (and free when you arrive and depart)! The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, which was steps from the chalet, and it dropped you in front of the Firstbahn chairlift or took you to the bus stop so you could transfer to the train or other bus to Grindelwald Terminal. The staff was very accommodating, and we appreciated their assistance when needed. I couldn't recommend this place more. We will be staying again next year if available.

The entrance road leading up to the hotel was dark. I would recommend to bring some flashlights torch. But its not really a dislike.

The view in our room was absolutely breathtaking! The apartment was clean, very cosy and has everything you need. The location was accessible and bus stop was only 5 mins away. There’s also a shuttle pick up available to and from the hotel, needs booking. Lastly, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend and would come back in the future.

Mountain view and quiet environment

When selecting this booking, it is mentioned that the appartements are 4 stars, but the villa we stayed in had 3 stars. It didn't say anywhere that the economy room will be on the 3 stars villa, so I payed for the 4 stars and received 3. This is just a mention that I didn't find anywhere in the previous reviews and I would have liked to received the number of stars that I payed for.

We stayed in the economic room and the view is stunning from the balcony. The studio has all the amenities that you need and is a cosy place. The shortcut to the center of Grindelwald is a path through the hills with amazing views on the mountains. Be aware also that on some parts the path can be a little steep, but manageable.

We couldn't get bus transportation after 6:30 pm from downtown to the apartment . Most of the restaurants in the area serve dinner after 6 pm so we had to walk up the hill which is not an easy hike or use a taxi which was costly for a few minutes drive.

The schedule of the shuttle. We had to leave at 6h30 am and the shuttle was only available after 7:30. The walk down the steep hill in quasidarkness with backpack and suitcase was a little difficult.

The hotel and apartment is a little far from the station 30 mins walk).and bus runs only once every hour.. Other than that everything was perfect.

There was an issue. Before booking apt., I had inquired via email if okay to check-in after 8.00pm, was told it would be fine, just needed to inform time of arrival day before. After payment taken it was a diff. story, was told office will be closed for renovation and we can only be picked up and checked-in between 9am - 5pm (otherwise charged SF100 for late check-in and no pick-up). After many emails exchanged with diff team members, no apologies or agreed pick-up and check-in without a charge. I took this matter with Booking.com customer service who sorted this immediately & cfrmd. pick-up without a charge. On the day of arrival, reception called asking arrival time, gave her time as there was a further delay due to disruption of the train as stones had fallen on the track from the mountains. She made note of the time. When we got to the station at 9.00pm there was no one to pick us up. I called the mobile number the reception had called from. A lady (I believe she was part of the community which owns the apartment) luckily picked up the phone and I told her we had been waiting for about 15mins, and she told me someone was at the station earlier to pick us up. I could not understand why someone would be there at the station early when we had confirmed the time of arrival. It appeared there was total lack of communication within the team. Anyway, we got picked-up and the lady drove us to office for check-in. When checking-in, there was another guy at the office who was extremely rude and kept on telling me I should not have called the mobile number. I explained (should have asked who he was) I got the call earlier from the mobile number hence I called the same number, but he just kept on going on about it..We found him to be extremely rude. They don't have the facility to leave the keys in a secure box, so if the lady did not pick up the phone, I imagine we would have had to spend the night outside. I found the staff to be rude.

The apartment has got stunning views, fully stocked kitchenette, very spacious, bathroom is spacious and clean, we had a lovely stay! I would definitely recommend this place.
