Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Breakfast was good with varieties. I like the kitchen staff Catherina. She greeted guests with a wide smile, was polite n attended to the needs of guests. She came to ask us whether we wanted sorbet. Was willing to bring them over to our table. Dinner was good, with 4 course meal. Salad was impressive with a wide varieties of vegetables.

Hong KongThe guests who stayed at the upper floor of rooms must walk upstairs with their baggages. One male staff at the kitchen was quite rude to the guest. As I would need to check out a bit before the breakfast time, I asked if I could get two boiled eggs from the basket to go but the male staff stopped me. Upon my persisting request, he reluctuntly gave me two boiled eggs. He said that he just followed the instruction from his boss.
It located near to the hiking trails and you might be able to see Matterhorn from the hostel if the weather was good enough. The breakfast was excellent.

CanadaLocation is at the highest point in Zermatt with no real way of getting there via a bus or taxi car. Be prepared to climb up the hill with your bags if you reserve this property.

United KingdomBe prepared for a tough uphill walk if you're lugging bags around with you. There are taxis available but I suspect expensive. Also no laundry facilities and the showers are just awful. The light sensor means the light turns off every five minutes. No good when it's outside the shower and I'm left in the dark.
The beds were the comfiest hostel bed I've ever slept in. The breakfast were amazing and definitely gave the energy boost for any adventures. The view of the matterhorn on a clear day from most of the rooms is just wow. Couldn't have asked for better.

BelgiumIt’s on a bit of a hill so might be a bit tiring to walk up with luggage. You need to make your own bed. This is a problem of many hostels but I find it tricky if the sink is directly in the room so if you get up early or go to bed later you will risk waking up all the other people in the room.
Possibility to sit outside around the hostel, worh views on the Matterhonr. The breakfast was nice and so was the dinner you can pay extra.

RomaniaEven though the location is quite nice is hardly accessible with luggage: expect a lot of uphill from main street and big flight of stairs. I was given almost a basement room to stay for a week just because their were lazy to reorder some rezervations to accomodate a room for a week, they just choosed the easy way and when I requested another room they just gave me one at first floor. It's a big difference between staying one day vs one week in a bad room without much light, behind some stairs with people passing by your window, when you can see around you so many options for the same price, I told them I would like to pay extra if needed just to have a decent room at a superior floor :) While requesting the change I did the queue 6 times, first to check in, second to ask for another room, third to ask again because second time just asked me to wait, fourth to wait again for another lady to try to change the room and another time to receive the card for the room again, sixth times just because the first receptionist just tried to make me give up :) I understand this is a hostel and I do not expect hotel service and room standards but I stayed in other swiss youth hostels and this was the worst experience. If you need a night to stay it's ok. During my stay I also requested a hair dryer and the same lady just gave me a broken melted one and told me that I can use it very well like this, I asked for her to find a better one to be able to receive back my guarantee, yes she asked 10chf for using the melted hair dryer 😅
