There were a few things I noticed, 1. The floor I was on had a noticeable 'cat urine' smell, I'm guessing this was coming from the bathrooms as no bathrooms had proper ventilation. The smell wasn't as noticeable inside the rooms. 2. Not a single USB plug in sight. Tables in the common areas all had Swiss style powerpoints, but why not any USB plugs? At least you can ask for Swiss style phone chargers at the reception, given that you have 10chfs for a bond. 3. Top bunk in my room was needlessly difficult to climb, What's the point of having half a ladder to climb.

I liked the nice modern feeling of the property, especially in the downstairs common areas and dining hall. The beds were okay, the rooms provided ample room and had storage for luggage. The shared bathrooms were decent, they were clean. The included breakfast was nice and had plenty to choose from. Overall a nice stay for 2 nights.

A little far from the main things in town. They did have a shuttle to the train though which saved a 30 minute walk with luggage!

The food was delicious. The beds were comfortable- very standard and not fancy but it was clean and the price was right!

Can walk into town center along the lake, but for the station with luggage - which is at the other end of the city - you would need a bus (ev 30 min, need CHF change for fare), or take a taxi (26CHF). Not the most convenient, but ok if you plan for it.

Clean, modern building with great views on the edge of the lake, south of city center. Good value including good breakfast. Full hostel facilities, clean and well-equipped room and bathrooms, large social area and restaurant. Elevator. Large storage areas in basement for skis, bikes etc. No shared kitchen which was a surprise for a hostel. They provide a 3 course dinner for 20CHF which we opted for, it was simple but adequate after long ride on Glacier Express.

There was no soap in the individual rooms, and the cabinets supposedly worked with 2 CHF coins (which we did not have at hand) - although they were locked in our rooms so we wouldn't have been able to use them anyways.

The bus gets there only every hour. Then you have to walk up the hill with luggage. They do not share many tips with us. It was off season and we had to learn how the bus system works by ourselves. The receptionist that checked us in did not speak English.

I stayed there in May. Booked a private room with shared toilets/shower. It’s ridiculously expensive. Toilets, showers, rooms are outdated. The hostel is not homely and cosy as some of the other Swiss hostels are. (Perhaps this is because it’s offered as a skiing accommodation as well and carpets and sofas aren’t very practical then). Wouldn’t go again. Also think St Moritz itself is ridiculously overrated. Did a lovely hike there but the Dorf is laughable with its prices and the shops of Hermes, Prada etc. There are many nicer and friendlier dörfchen in Switzerland.

Breakfast was very good. Friendly personnel in the kitchen. Most of the receptionists were also very friendly and adequate. The hostel is divided in different hallways so they can separate huge groups (tour) from the other guests which I think is nice.

Switzerland is eye-wateringly expensive so this accommodation - whilst basic - was a welcome alternative. Staff were very friendly and the place was spotless.

The lighting in the room was a bit dim. That's it. The rest was great.

We had a private room and it was generously sized, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Large opening windows and excellent heating made sure we could control the temperature to our liking. Lots of storage space and a sink in the room. The food was excellent! I was sceptical about it before arrival, but it was delicious and well worth the price. Recommended. The bus stop is literally at the front door, and it connects to the St Moritz Station in minutes, via the supermarket. Very convenient.
