Room was quite hot but opening the window helped. Almost no hotels in Switzerland have AC so I expect that.

Beautiful hotel hundreds of years old that served incredible food. The staff were all amazing but as many have said you often have to go down to the restaurant on the bottom floor below reception to find them. They have a washing machine and drier you can use for 4CHF each which was wonderful. There is a bus to East and another to West one minute from the hotel. They run every 30 minutes or you can walk in 15. Room was beautiful and I’m 6’5” and while the roof is low I was fine. Interlaken is a fantastic travel hub and has great services. I’d love to return some day.

there was nothing about the hotel that I did not like.

The hotel was really nice, built in 1666 but refreshed. The breakfast was really good, lots of choices, and the staff was very friendly.

Very thin pillows however this seems to be the case in all of Switzerland and we were given a second pillow when asked with no issue!

The cutest little cottage with lovely staff and a really nice included breakfast. Good locations, would definitely stay again.

The historic/classic style of the hotel, all wooden decoration. Staff are nice and friendly. Variety of buffet breakfast is the best of all my stays in Switzerland.

I was so happy with my choice of this hotel for my brief stay in Interlaken. We were a family of four. The accommodation was spacious and the bedrooms( one each for two of us) were sufficiently big with space to spread out two huge suitcases. Our rooms overlooked the snow clad Alps. We woke up to scenic views. The bathroom was neat and tidy. There was a small lobby as you enter your family suite for your footwear. There was a long mirror which was super convenient. The complimentary breakfast was the pie on the cake. Perfectly baked breads, dryfruits, fruits, jams, avocado dip, hummus, cold cuts, muffins, soft cup cakes, scrambled eggs, juices, hot beverages so on and so on. Being a vegetarian, I also had plenty of options. One can relax in the alfresco seating area with a cuppa and gape at the breathtaking views. The staff were polite and helpful. The bus stop was located just outside the hotel. Interlaken West railway station was barely ten minutes from the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay at Hotel Hirschen. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Interlaken.

The hotel location is a 15-20 minute walk from the station, but it doesn't matter because the hotel gives you a guest card when you stay

The hotel was generally clean and smelled good, so it was nice. I slept comfortably, and I was able to have a good trip thanks to it. And I went to the emergency room because of a sudden accident, and the kind help and comforting helped me a lot. Thank you so much.

Not a dislike just be aware because it is very old the ceiling height might be a problem if you are tall.

Everything about the property was top notch profound enjoyable. We were there for 9 nights. Got to know the owner and staff. Great breakfast, tea all day. Within 1 block for bus routes 104 and 105. Busses are free. Front desk gives you an Interlaken card for free buses but thru never ask. Great jumping off place for all major things to go. Would definitely return hopefully for a longer stay.

It was a good stay. I booked it at the last moment and I was not expecting much from it. It's a 350-year-old hotel and has its charm and drawbacks. We liked the receptionist's dog "Luna" :-)

No lifts so will be difficult for those with mobility issues (but hotel very old so probably listed), nobody in the group enjoyed the orange juice (a weak squash).

Very charming traditionally buillt hotel built chalet (very old with lots of character). We travelled around Switzerland for 10 days and loved our 4 days in Interlaken and at this wonderful gem of a hotel and restuarant. Rooms were modern with access to a number of UK TV channels to watch once we went to bed (and it was comfy). The breakfast was wonderful (especially the bread) and a hot drinks machine server different coffees. Switzerland cost of living is very high, the restaurant food was worth every penny and is a credit to the chef and waiting staff. There is a regular bus service to Interlaken OST and West train stations, but we could walk comfortably in 20 mins for our evening stroll. The local paragliders landed nearby which was interesting to watch. WiFi also very good which allowed me to keep an eye on my emails. 100% will return again (this was the best hotel we stayed at foe pur entire time in Switzerand)

I loved the fact that this is a 300 year old hotel with lots of original elements. The hotel was quaint, very clean and the breakfast variety was excellent. The restaurant has very good traditional Swiss food and the locals come here. The hotel is just at the edge of the city so very quiet.

We stayed in a general room and wow the view! The hotel was clean, a quick walk (20 minutes) to the train station and the breakfast was really good. We had the best time just being in the beauty of Interlaken. I wish we ate dinner here!

Nothing major! My partner would have liked an option for a firmer/extra pillow as the ones in the rooms were quite soft. It isn't a problem for me though..

We had an amazing stay here, such a lovely place! I would stay here again if I were returning to Interlaken. The staff were nice and breakfast was great too (I'm vegan, so options were a bit limited... But there are lots of different bread, jams, margarine, fruits, rosti, and even plant based milks, so it was all good). The rooms were lovely and clean. Our room was VERY warm! There is a mini fridge in the room, but kettle and microwave are only accessible in the dining room, which was open 24/7. In the dining room, there is a big selection of teas which I liked a lot. We didn't eat at the restaurant here, but I'm sure it would be nice. Location (from either Interlaken West or Ost) was around 10-15mins walk, but it wasn't a problem for us. The walk we had around Interlaken and to the station was always a delight.
