The only negative I can even come up with is low ceilings. As it is a historic building, the ceilings are quite low. They may be a problem for anyone over 6'2"/185cm. Other than that, no issues whatsoever!

The hotel is in an impeccably restored historic building. It has a great restaurant on the ground floor, with a beautiful wine cellar. Rachel, the house manager, was friendly, helpful and very attentive to our group's needs.

Liked every bit of it. Nice hotel, great breakfast with many choices of fruits, fresh breads, eggs, bacon, cereals, jellies. It is an authentic swiss chalet. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. We would recommend this place. The location was great, and it was close to the bus stop to go to the train station.

This hotel has excellent parking including a garage which was great for the bike. It was easy to find. It is not close to the centre itself of Interlaken but has its own high street with restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were excellent as was the breakfast. The room was small with a 3/4 bed for a singly but it was comfy overall.

Room was amazing, Breakfast was exceptional! Unreal value for money. Staff is very nice. Ceilings are low but there is an extra den in every room. My wife and I are super glad we stayed here for 7 days.

The room did get quite hot in the night, not unbearable and still managed to sleep fine though. There was a dyson fan provided and the hotel does appear to be fitting air con in the room so this is obviously known about and being dealt with.

Location of the hotel is great, 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Interlaken. Breakfast was a great fresh continental selection of fruit, yoghurts cereals and pastrys ect. The double room was spotless, and a great size with access to a great balcony. Plenty of parking at the hotel. The hotel itself has great character and has a perfect mix of traditional and modern. We only visited the hotel resteraunt on our last night for a fondue which was perfect and the rest of the resteraunt looked great. All of the staff at this hotel were great!

The only thing would be the air conditioning not working. The rooms do get hot during the day/night, but I believe they are due to be fully installed in the next few weeks.

Breakfast every morning was delicious. And the morning we left, we had to leave early and would have missed breakfast - so the hotel staff kindly packed meals the night before. This was so kind!

As the hotel is located at the corner of a main street, there is big traffic all day long. If you sleep by open window during summer time, it might be disturbing but you can find earplugs/stoppel on the bed table.

Location of the hotel is great, only 15-20 mins walk from Interlaken Ost and West train stations. Room was comfortable and clean. All the staff was really helpful and friendly. I loved the breakfast included various choices, excellent quality of hot and cold dishes, delicious cheese selection. Having great breakfast on the terrace in this 'old' building watching the mountains and enjoying the beautiful environment with fresh air early morning..it is unforgettable.

Nothing to fault…loved our room/bathroom and the building. Clean, comfortable and our own balcony looking at the mountains at the back of the property watching the paragliders! Only negative is that you do have to carry your luggage up the stairs so as long as you are fit this shouldn’t be a problem. Gorgeous 300 +year old property with a genuine family vibe. Breakfast was also beautiful. Nicole was so lovely (I hope I remembered her name right) one of the owners.

In August 2024 the weather was very hot. There was no clim in the room but there was a little mobile fan which did the job (at the cost of a little noise during the night).

We have stayed in a comfortable room (24) that I have found very large (it is important to me as I am tall) and well designed. The breakfast buffet is also very good and offers a large variety of food : it was perfect before a hiking day without lunch. Finally, we have appreciated the good location close to several restaurants and other facilities.

Very hot in summer as no air conditioning , even with windows open and fan on over night it was uncomfortable to sleep. Thick duvets provided which wouldn’t be used as it was so hot but no top sheet to use instead which would have been better /appreciated rather than sleeping with nothing covering.

Rooms quite warm (in August) but Dyson fan was provided. Air conditioning is apparently being fitted this month.

Great location with views of the Yungfrau. Meals at hotel’s restaurant were of a high standard (special mention to Miro our waiter who served us well and with a sense of humour). Great facilities including 24 hour hot drinks and free fruit at reception. Voucher given by hotel to give us free bus rides and 20% off trains (including trip to Schynige Platte).
