Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

BelgiumOwners Markus and his Wife are delightfull. They take care of their hosts and make sure that all goes well. The fact that the fidge and the cupboards are full of groceries is a real plus. You note down what you consume and you pay at the end. Prices are right and it is a blessing when you did not have time to go shopping.

This was a unique, wonderful experience. We had a great time and our hosts were great! They gave us plenty of information on where to visit. The location was superb. A hidden gem in the mountains. The sweetest sheep just down the hill. Plenty of food to purchase if we needed to resupply our stock. Great bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen. Games to play, books to read, tv to watch, scenery to experience, trails to hike and more and more! A tiptop kitchen with everything you could possibly need for the Swiss experience. Fondue pots, raclette and so on! We hope to return soon!!

The host was very kind. He explained everything in the apartment. There were toys including even a brand-new lego for my son to play. He gave us an Easter chocolate bunny and wine as gifts. We had only lovely memories at this nice place with the perfect mountain view. we will definitely come back.

Our hosts provided most of the food we needed by means of a selection of groceries for sale within the property, as well as gratis fruit and vegetables from their own garden! Our hosts, Markus and Priska, were very friendly and helpful.

SwitzerlandIt is a very unique one of a kind place. The owners are super friendly and helpful people. The apartment is equipped with everything you can think of. In the kitchen you will find a really wide variety food supply that you can take at regular shop prices. No need to do bring your own food (it is like a small convenience store) Everything is exceptionally clean. The bus stop is 10 minutes away. You get a guest card that offers free use of public transport and some other discounts eg lifts. It is not a place for everyone, it is a feel-at-home place rather than a fancy apart hotel. We enjoyed dinner at the pergola terrace every evening. It is not part of the apartment but is 20 meters away.

Czech RepublicAmazing services from Priska and Markus. There is anything you can think of on the apartment. We highly appreciated large selection of food for the same prices like in a shop. This, together with eqiupment of the apartment, makes your holidays very comfortable. Very nice view of Brig from pergola. You can feel remote from civilization, yet the city is still 5 minutes far by car. We have travelled even beyond Valais, but you will find many attractions in neighbourhood of apartment, for which a card you get from Priska and Markus helps you receive big discounts and advantages.
