Hotel well located in the centre of the town. Clean cosy room with all necessary facilities, including TV and an electric kettle. Actually, the room was in a better state than what I was expecting based on some of the photos on the website. I was also able to leave a bag for a week in the luggage room at no extra cost. Very much appreciated.

There was no fridge in the room which was very inconvenient as it was very hot. No air-conditioning and we had to keep the windows open and since many people were smoking outside, it was hard to sleep.

Room had a great view, it was clean. Location was convenient and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. Staff allowed us to use their fridge as we didn't have a fridge in our room.

When we arrived (around mid-afternoon) the office was closed and the front door locked so we had to wait 50 minutes to check in- not a big deal since we could just wander around the town, but it would have been nice to drop off our luggage first. Fix the simple things that were broken in the room (closet door, towel rod, soap holder in shower, and slow draining sink). Put a fan in the room so if it’s noisy outside from the restaurant or other guests we can use a fan to keep cool.

Room was fairly clean but room and building are a bit run down. within the room the closet door was broken and wouldn’t close, towel bar and soap holder was falling off the wall and couldn’t be used, sink drained slowly, room was tiny and the furniture was bulky so it was hard to find a place to put our carry-on bags or even move around the bed- all small things that just added up. We encountered this in another hotel so maybe it’s somewhat normal but the showerhead was mounted on the long wall of the shower, which meant the water easily sprayed out of the tub/curtain and also made it very difficult to use the shower. Plus the place they hung the soap holder just got in the way from the only place you could stand while showering. We could hear every noise coming from the rooms around us and the hall. (they advertise the hotel as having sound proof rooms… ha!) We are heavy sleepers but the guests below us decided to start moving furniture and talking loudly on the balcony at 5 am. We couldn’t sleep and couldn’t close the window because the rooms were so hot and there was no fan- not the hotel’s fault but vould have been remediated with a fan and better sound proofing. Breakfast spread was okay but they were not quick to refill items that ran out even though we were still within the first 30 minutes of the 2 hour breakfast time. We had to check out earlier on our last day so the staff was kind enough to make us a Takeaway breakfast so we didn’t go hungry.

Room was a bit small. Understaffed. One person serving breakfast, bussing tables, answering phones. No proper “front desk” for check in. Talked to a person in the bar to check in.

The bathroom was extremely small and you couldn't even shower and stand up straight if you were over 1.70 tall! The curtain and it's size was not for this place and when you shower the water ran out of the cabin and then you had to soak it up with a towel that was left on the floor for that purpose. Also the staff did not speak ENGLISH which is unacceptable in such a tourist destination.

The top bunk bed in the family room did not have sufficient protection for a young child ( one who always moves a great deal when sleeping) who could easily, in my opinion, have fallen out of the quite high bed. Thus she had to share our bed....not an ideal solution.

• It wasn't very clean • Couldn't check In earlier than 15:30 • Limited breakfast options • For 1 night, 1 got 1 very small plastic bag having shampoo in it a size of 5ml • Arrived and no one was in the reception to put my luggage in the storage room.

The hotel was in the middle of Meiringen very close to the train station and supermarkets and restaurants. The staff is friendly and there was a room for supplies that could be used for storage room. There is a free breakfast from 7:30-10:00 with limited options. The room had tv, closet, fridge, kettle, mug, tea. There is an elevator and a room with washing machine and ironing tools that can be used for free.

it was very hot and rainy, so you can't open the window.. and while AC is usually rare, a celling fan would have been a life saver. room was out dated. noisy bathroom fan, small and moldy shower curtain. some spider webs. and even a little cockroach was spotted.
